Looks cheap but does work
No internal battery so the minute it’s unplugged it loses everything which isn’t the ‘worst’ thing in the world but in 2019 it seems that it shouldn’t.Anyway the radio itself works ok but the quality and feel really doesn’t look good. It has a cheapness to it in both colour and quality which is a shame as the retro look in itself is quite nice, I’m hoping the darker colour might get away with it but the rose gold looks nasty.

nice looking radio but not fit for purpose
for the money its a nice looking retro radio but up close you will see its done cheaply. Right out of the box however some of the controls dont work and so never had a chance to really try it out properly. the sound is good but it seems the quality control is not up to scratch. if you do order it make sure everything works before accepting it

Really lovely radio
This is a really stylish, good quality looking radio. The sound quality is much better than what I was expecting too.I love this little radio, it was easy to tune in to where I wanted it and it gets used all of the time. It’s been at least 7 months and it still looks and sounds just as good as when it arrived.

Just peachy
The colour that is. It says White & Gold on the Amazon page, the box has Cream ticked but it's definitely more Peach in colour. That aside it's a really nice wee radio. The sound quality is good enough unless you try to blast it. Which you shouldn't. It looks good and, if you remember it's an analogue radio and doesn't do fancy, then there is no reason not to have this in your house.

Great looks, average quality
At first glance the GPO Darcy is beautiful. It reminds me of the more expensive Roberts radios, but at a fraction of the cost. Sadly thats where the similarities end! The faux leather cover is neat enough if you don't look too closely, and the buttons have a firm click. The volume nob however feels very wobbly indeed, and doesn't fill me with much confidence. Searching for stations takes ages (maybe I've been spoilt with my DAB radio!) but the most disappointing thing about the radio is a constant low humming noise. This is less noticeable the louder you have the radio, but it is there all the same. £30 isn't that expensive for a radio, but for that money there are better options out there. The Darcy would be fine for someone who likes a bit of background noise while getting on with things around the house, but if you're after crystal clear sound then you could be disappointed.
