Happy- not happy
I use this with a Yamaha DTX Multi 12 and so far I am extremely happy. The Riser has a fairly small sweet spot but I expected this. I use this for rehearsals as well as for gigs. Very positive experiences!OKAfter a month of use the trigger has lost some of its sensitivity. The programmed sounds no longer are triggered by cross sticking. That defeats the entire purpose.

Low output
Thought it would be a clever way to add MIDI triggers to my acoustic set, but there are a couple of problems. First, the piezo is quite weak--even with sensitivity turned way up on the trigger-MIDI interface, I really have to whack the trigger to get any digital sound. Replacing it with a new piezo (without a thick rubber casing) improved sensitivity but now isolation is the problem. Secondly, with repeated whacks, the unit wiggles back and forth a little bit on its tension rod, which eventually loosens the rod and detunes the drum. Third, being bare metal, it is obviously not as quiet as a rubber pad, especially if you really have to slug it. I could probably put a piece of rubber rim gasket on it, but that would make it even less sensitive.

Broke within a week. This was due to were the cable hosing met my snares rim, after a week of playing it was toast. However their customer support was amazing. Once I posted this review, someone from their customer support contacted me and a new one will be shipped out. Hopefully the second one fairs better :)

great for adding digital sounds to your setup
added this to my Pearl snare using a tm2. great for layering digital instruments under my cross sticking . started with an 808 which sounded amazing then used a cross stick effect with my acoustic which was super thick. really good and doesnt take up any room on my setup.
