LED Light Pad Ultra-thin Light Tracing Board A3 USB Powered LED Drawing Pad for Artists, Drawing, Animation, Sketching

Wow, I have always wanted one of these, and this one is larger than I have seen before but very thin. It's a simple unit, but it has an expanded surface size so I will be able to trace larger images for my crafting. The light pad is substantial, very bright, well built, and has reasonable weight to it. I can see it is made of quality acrylics and the frame housing looks strong. Simple operation, which is good for me, and it is light enough to be easily portable, I can take it along when I travel. This thing works like the light boards you see in medical facilities- where they pinup X-Rays for viewing. It is meant for tracing images, lay one image on the board, the bright LED lighting shines through, place another paper on top and you can trace the underlying image. It is mostly awesome because it will be a timesaver. I like to sew and I need to make patterns, so I can copy and alter a pattern all in one step, that is really cool. Also, I like to draw, so a picture can be a background for me to sketch my version over top of and I retain the original dimensions and details, it is actually a multi-purpose tool for me and others may have many uses for this. I love it!.

A far cry from the fluorescent light table that I had be using for ages. Most of my usage is for sorting old slides. The light is bright and even. A very nice product!

I bought this for my daughter as a Christmas gift, and I seriously considered stealing it and getting her something else. I'd love to have this as a permanent fixture in my sewing room for tracing patterns and such, as well as for using it for art-making purposes. It's huge! So, it's definitely big enough to trace out patterns.My daughter will be using it for artwork, and I'm looking forward to what she comes up with. She didn't understand what it was when she first opened the box, because this thing is so thin, and looks nothing like what light boxes used to look like. It's thin, lightweight, and bright enough to like up the entire room. The variable brightness is a great feature, and so easy to operate. I love that swiping my finger up and down the side adjusts the amount of light.
