FUGASUN EOS M5 Camera Cage EOS M50 Camera Cage for Canon EOS M5 / M50 Camera Case Camera Rig Cold Shoe

This review is for the FUGASUN camera cage. I am using it on a Canon EOS M50 Mark II.The camera fits well and regarding the 2 problems other reviewers found here is what I can say:1) Unable to flip screen because cage is on your way. This one is true but also is true that if you turn the screen before fully extend it then this issue is solved. Not perfect but again, some small compromise2) You can exchange lenses with the camera in cage. I tried and you can do it without any issues.This is a full metal body but is Aluminum so is lightweight; price is 34% lower than leader cage brand and I think works perfectly fine. I have access to the battery/SD card, access to all the buttons and the connectors. Recommended if you are on a budget.

Well built, easy to install. I liked that it only has the EOS M50 logo written on the surface and not the cage brand. That way isbetter to maintain the Canon branding. I have no problem rotating the screen as some critics say by trade who speak badly of a product without having the motor skills to play with some. I think if you are a cameraman or a photographer turning a degree more or less should not be difficult for a person. I also don't understand who said you can't change your lens. Maybe he's putting a big one on it. The external power cord is easy to connect also the USB of the Canon EOS Webcam. In general I recommend it and I showed all the possible angles so that they have a reference.This is the most affordable one ,what I found anywhere on the web and it's great. Así mantengo el branding de Canon.No tengo problemas para girar la pantalla como dicen algunos críticos por oficio que hablan mal de un producto sin tener la destreza motora de jugar con algunos.Creo que sí eres camarógrafo o fotógrafo girar un grado más o menos no debe ser dificultoso para una persona. También no entiendo a quien dijo no puede cambiar su lente.Quizás le está poniendo uno muy grande. En general lo recomiendo y mostré todos los angulos posibles para que tengan una referencia.Este es el más económico que encontré en toda la web y es genial. Estoy altamente satisfecho.

I got this one when the exact one by smallrig was unavailable. I was excited to save about 1/3 the price of the smallrig but I found a cpl issues. Still deciding if they’re deal breakers or not. First, as others stated, you cant flip the screen when fully opened. Fix: slightly close screen and rotate to desired position. This is a stupid prob that 5 min of R&D and 3mm would have prevented this prob. Next, not sure if its just me but I cant get any of my cold shoe items to fit in the cage’s “cold shoe”... seems just slightly too tight/small to get any gear in. Like I said, might just be me since I didnt see anyone else having an issue with this. Other than these simple probs I really like it and It sure feels like a strong sturdy cage with plenty of modding capabilities. Would give 3 1/2 stars if I could. Cant do 4 cause of losing all ability to use that cold shoe. If, in time, I find its my fault, I will return to here and adjust my rating and review.Update: cold shoe prob was “MY” fault. I can now fit other gear that fits just fine. Gonna keep cage. Changed to 4 stars. Would recommend👍👍

This is the upgraded model. The LCD screen flips all the way around, no Problem. Excellent protection and added access to multiple lights, mikes, screens, etc. I save $21 over the S rig one.Update; works great on my Canon M50. I even have a cover on it, and this Great Cage still fits Perfectly!!!!

Fits well in the hand and really gives it a much more DSLR size feel. Some things that would helpful to know: 1) Be sure to tighten all the bolts around the cage using the included allen wrenches (nice for the them to include). 2) Because I wanted to be able to use the m50 screen flipped all the way out and then turned upside down, I found it beneficial to grind down one of the sidebar lips that was preventing the screen from flipping 180 degrees.
