So far so good!
There have been some really mixed reviews about this product. I had the battery mills years ago but they took lots of batteries and they always seemed to run out at a crucial moment. I really like that this is one single unit, the motor is in the middle and runs both ends so depending which way up you turn it the salt or pepper will come out. You can adjust the grind, it doesn't grind as fine as some hand mills but it is fine enough for cooking and garnishing. The charging unit is great and the grinder fits well and engages with the charging point easily so no fiddling around. As it's new I can't comment on the battery life. People have complained about the mech jamming with peppercorns, this hasn't happened to me but I would recommend using fresh pepper, some older pepper corns can be rock hard, this doesn't have a metal grinding unit so it will struggle with very hard peppercorns. Very happy so far!

Loving this grinder so far!
Really pleased with the performance of this grinder so far. It arrived nice and quickly, and was easy to set up. I hand-washed and dried the individual salt and pepper chambers with warm soapy water before filling them with salt and pepper. But it is important to make sure that moisture never touches the middle of the device where the motor and rechargeable battery are. There is only one button, and it controls a central motor that spins both the grinders when pressed, (there is a grinder at each end, at the far-end of each chamber). However, because of gravity, only the contents of whichever chamber happens to be the bottom chamber at that moment, will touch its respective grinder, and get ground up and dropped onto your food.I use telicherry peppercorns in the pepper-half, and regular table salt in the salt-half. The peppercorns are bigger than the salt flakes and so take longer to grind up. But it is lovely not having to grind manually anymore! The instruction manual was very clear too, and contained handy advice about how to dislodge trapped peppercorns. (I have not had to dislodge any peppercorns yet.)The device displays a red light when charging, and a blue light when fully charged.I've found that if the grinder is fully charged, and you grind for about 30 seconds, the device will require about 5-10 minutes of charging to go back to fully charged. I do not know how long it would take to drain the battery entirely. The device will arrive without any charge and so must be charged before using for the first time.Overall, I definitely recommend this product. It is great quality.

Disappointed
Strike one! This thing is absolutely huge and it dominates my dining table. Not elegant or stylish at all.Strike two! Despite the size the containers for the salt n pepper are very small in comparison to the overall unit.Strike three! The charging cable is ridiculously short, unless you have a socket inline with your table you can't charge and dock it in it's designated location.Strike four! The charging cable is a proprietary connector instead of USB C or micro like everything else in the world so it's not like you can just buy a longer cable so it can reach the socket.Strike five! The activation button quite often sticks in the on position, showering the dish with an overdose of seasoning.Five strikes so you is outta here and demoted to kitchen grinding.

Rubbish! Don’t Waste Your Money
This was the worst kitchen gadget we have ever wasted money on. It doesn’t grind, unless you shake the thing to death whilst pressing the button. When it did grind, it wasn’t particularly fine, more like dropping boulders of salt into everything even after adjusting the coarseness. We tried it with new salt and peppercorns, it still wouldn’t grind. It also doesn’t sit on the charging dock very well, so had to keep wiggling it to get it to charge. In the end we sent it back after two uses. For the money it’s completely rubbish. We’ve gone back to a decent manual grinder. This item would be brilliant if it worked, but it doesn’t.

Looks good but is it functional?
Looks super, sleek, pretty colour, and only one item rather than separate. But there the pros stop. Put in pepper corns and salt and it grinds and stops - seems to jam. Open and close the compartments, shake and it works again. Over and over again. I can sort of put up with it just for myself, but I certainly won’t expect friends to have to deal with it - I’d be embarrassed at how ridiculously often it just stops.
