Genie 7055-KV garage door opener, Black

After watching many online videos this was a straight forward install. Took my time and spent 3 hours spread out over two evenings as a one man operation. It comes with a some mounting rails but I had to get mounting hardware at Lowe's to get mine in the right position. Mine is the belt drive model and it makes the same amount of noise as lifting it by hand.

I think I would have given this a 5 Star review if it were Alexa ready but it is not.After chatting with Genie I was informed that I needed the Retrofit Kit to be Alexa ready.I should have read a little deeper into the product, but my old opener stopped working and so I needed a replacement quickly.Not prepared to pay $56 for the retrofit kit when I could have just bought a more expensive door for $20-$30 more.Other than that the door opener works well it is just not WiFi Smart Home ready.

Needed some help installing the opener, but otherwise was fine. It is very, very quiet. I love it!

Well I don't like working on it all the time. I want to install it and push the button and have it work.

My wife and grandson install the garage door opener no problem.

I wanted to replace a bad opener that was really loud. Now I can’t tell if the door is opening or not without looking because it’s so quiet. 👍🏻
