Wonder Oil
In my work I travel all over the world !! No joke I can be in Florida one week and Germany the next week so that also means that I spend lots of time and nights in hotels. I am a very clean and neat person to the point of obsessive. So you can imagine what was going thru my mind when one day at work I began to break out in a very itchy, red and bumpy "rash" all over my legs, feet and backside. After a few days of this horrible itch and this was not getting better in fact it was getting worse I went to the Local ER. I was told after only a five minute "check up" by a "Dr. Joke" that this was a "heat rash" Now I am an Electrical Engineer and most of my days are spent in an office with plenty of A/C. I asked this very unprofessional "Doctor" why does it itch so much and his answer was "because you where scratching it" ????? And I did advise him that I sleep in hotels almost every night. At the end of this visit to ER I left with absolutey nothing. A few more weeks went by then I began to break out on the bottom of my feet so I began an in-depth research and a conversation with a colleague who had stayed at a same hotel that I did and now has the EXACT same "symptoms" I determined to my utter horror I most likely had "scabies" . Further research showed that most treatments included Tea Tree oil. I purchased the pure oil and a bag of Tea Tree oil foot soak and used it as directed in several baths and foot soaks ALL SYMPTOMS are gone. I also realized the benefits and wonders this has done for my feet besides the removal of my symptoms and itching. It leaves my feet very soft and free and any dead skin and that cracking of skin on my heels. I know carry the pure oil with me in all my travels ( on flights it must be in checked bags only and not in my carry on bag) My wife now also uses the oil as a foot soak a few nights a week and she loves the results. This product has been added to our regular shopping lists for now on.

Good Tea Tree Oil
I use essential oils primarily for treating acne. Since acne affects my face more than any other area of my skin, I need a essential oil that will work well and not have an offensive smell. Eve Hansen Tea Tree Oil (TTO) serves this purpose very well. I have bought TTO from at least three other brands, and the aroma is usually some earthy variation of Pine-Sol. But since there is no real regulation on how essential oils are produced or quality-controlled, it really is luck of the draw as to the quality and consistency. Two bottles of the same essential oil from the same brand may vary wildly in aroma and efficacy. Radha Beauty has a TTO that smelled a little too much like petroleum or gasoline, and Auracia's TTO has other scents mixed in with their product that are hard to discern. Eve Hansen's TTO seems to have a more pure TTO aroma, or at least the bottle I received does. My biggest gripe with this particular TTO is (as it usually is with most essential oil bottles) is the dropper. It does the job, but if you want more accurate amounts, you may need to use a pipette or syringe-like drawing tool. But that is a nitpick -- this TTO looks like it will be my go-to TTO until I find a better one.

Worked for healing rash from laundry detergent
I got a crazy itchy rash on my belt line from some laundry detergent that didn't agree with my skin. Changed detergent to sensitive skin type, but still had a rash. Tried Cortizone for a week and it stopped the itch (temporarily), but didn't seem to do anything to heal the area. Tried Goldbond and Benadryl with pretty much the same results. By the start of week three, a visit to the dermatologist seemed inevitable as the rash had actually gotten worse. I had heard of tea tree oil and was willing to try one more home remedy before seeing the doc.Man, I wish I had used tea tree oil first. Other than the smell (not bad, just kinda strong and a little like alcohol), this stuff works in a noticeably different way than the products mentioned above. A little goes a long way and stops itch right away (at least for me) which is good for starters. The product gets mostly absorbed within a minute which means application is quick. That's all cool, but the best difference from other treatments is that the rash started to "dry out" almost immediately. Other products left the affected area "wet" and unhealed. Within the first day, I could see that parts of the rash were beginning to change for the better. Not sure how else to describe it except to say that it was obvious that healing was underway, whereas before, it was not.It took a week of application, once in morning, once in evening to completely beat the rash, but whatever, this stuff did the trick for me. Everybody has different chemistry and some people may not be cool with the smell (my wife thought it was too strong and I AM biased because it worked for me), but in my opinion, for the price, this stuff is worth a try if you have a rash you cannot kick.
