WonderBat Square Bats for Pottery Wheels, 6" Sq, Set of 6

Wonderful for beginner potters as it can be difficult to lift smaller pots or making ultra thin pots. I use it for production and it helps significantly with transferring wetware to get dried.Pros:Easy to use and works nicely for smaller formseasy to clean after the work is completedsaves spaces vs 10" or 12" round batsCons:During wet to dry phase, the bats can swell up and later not fit in to the inserts and may have to sand it down.If it is stuck on the adapter, you might have to pry it out using different things and it can either damage the piece, damage the wheel, or damage the bat.Limited to what you can make on the wheel

I love these bats! They save SO MUCH TIME and space in my studio. I do not have a large work area and I can leave my work right on the square bat inserts until they have firmed up enough to remove without leaving my fingerprints. I was concerned about warpage so I sealed all the edges with wax resist and have had no problem at all. I liked them so much I ordered the additional set of 6 inserts to go with the set! Would absolutely recommend to a friend!

I've been using this system for years. The bat inserts really last and don't absorb much water, some yes but not much. My adapter gets used daily and is still in great shape. I've cut 6" square pieces of various wood products to use in the adapter but I keep coming back to these inserts because of the notch cut out of the corners that makes removing them from the adapter a breeze.

I'm a full time potter/ceramic artist. These are the best, I only use these except when I'm throwing something with a wider base. I have 3 sets of inserts. I'm sorry I can't find them anymore, please contact me if you start making them again.

these things are a life and space saver. was hesitant at first after reviews but i have truly enjoyed them. requires a little upfront maintenance I gave two coats of Wax to both the bat head and these inserts on the outside before using, which keeps the water from absorbing into the sides and easy to wipe off slip residue.

All Bats are good. Eating all those bugs...oh ...oops I mean these bats are really great.I can stack many bowls in a tiny little space. Quick change out.They do swell but a little sanding down on the old grinder gits em good as new.I can make millions of pretty little bowls with out having to take up so much space.They don't warp and they seem to be holding up pretty darn good so far.I will keep you up dated down the line.

So easy to switch out the bases and stay 'in the groove' when I'm throwing. I found that I need to use the handle of one of my tools to pop it out, but it's not a problem. I ordered this extra set of six to go with the primary set as I found that having 12 was better for me.

LOVE these bats. I seem to throw pots in bursts, so it's nice to be able to crank out several pieces without having to wire off, lift, etc. I let most pieces dry right on the bat - depending on the weather pieces can lift right off with a perfectly smooth foot in about one day.
