Challenging fun, without being too frustrating
The media could not be loaded. In short, this is a fun update to traditional Rubik's Cubes. In fact, probably the most fun I've had solving a cube in a while. The colors, the unequal slices, and the smooth turning made this fun without being frustrating. In a bit more detail...There are plenty of choices out there for "unequal" cubes. This has proven to be my favorite so far. Note that two faces are "equal" (all stickers are squares), and the other four faces are unequal. There are some additional challenges due to the coloring of the cube (two of the centers have the same sticker), and the fact that many pieces look alike but are not.Like a lot of "picture" cubes, this cube requires a little knowledge of how to twist the centers independently of the rest of the cube. I had to remind myself of the steps to complete it.The action on the cube is good...it turns smoothly, but is not loose. As a result, I was able to focus on the puzzle itself, which truly was a lot of fun.Reviewer's note: I received this cube free for the purpose of testing and reviewing.

2 inch Brain Game
This isn't anything at all like the Rubik's cubes I've seen before. You have to look carefully at the product photos, in order to understand how this is made. First, you can see it has unequally sized squares. Some are wider than others. Second, when you go to twist it up, the blocks don't stay in a cubic form, but instead form a very irregular shape. In a normal Rubik's cube, you just need to twist the squares around to create a cube with solid similar colors on each side. With this cube, there's another layer of difficulty due to the irregular shape of the deformed cube. I was surprised that this cube was a little smaller than the old fashioned Rubik's cube. Each side measures just 2 inches.ADVICE ON SOLVING THISFirst. I would slowly twist it to create "starter puzzles". Don't twist it out of its cubic form at first, just mess with the colored rainbow. After you understand that, just make the deformed cube two or tree twists away from the finished cube. Then, solve it. Later, create a puzzle out of four, or five twists away from the finished cute, then 6 or 7 twists away from the finished cube. If you start out twisting the cube away from its finished form and color pattern, you'll be forever trying to solve this. This cube will teach three dimensional thinking, as well as visual problem solving skills. Or if not that, at least patience and fortitude.I was provided a free product in exchange for a fair and honest review.
