I received this as a Kickstarter backer. The first thing I tried with it was to dice an onion. First of all, the user manual says to look at videos online, but these videos do not seem to exist. So I followed the directions exactly as written in the manual. The first time I applied even the slightest bit of pressure to the base, it cracked almost to the point of being entirely unusable. It also failed miserably in dicing the onion - it sliced into the onion a short way, then promptly got stuck. Cleaning out the small pieces of onion from the cutting blade was a horrible experience, as well. I haven't tried the spiralizing feature, but am largely underwhelmed by the product so far.

Kickstarter projects can be great, but this was not one of the good ones. A good idea; however, poorly planned, poorly, designed, poorly built, and very poorly executed. It doesn't work, several components broke on first use, and it can be dangerous. My biggest regret is that I have two of them! Still, I am grateful to the project for helping to cure my Kickstarter addiction.

Backed this on Kickstarter...not worth the falling apart box it came in...thankfully, they gave me an easy refund...but this is a dangerous item (cleaning it will result in injury...and I mean trying to clean the chunks of onion or whatever out to use!)...Sad...neat idea
