I purchased this for a remote control for a motor mover on our caravan. the battery got a good charge if I'm honest.. As for a smoke detection unit unsure. But for the money good product

It has for me, 1 bar when starting 2 at 2 3rds strength and full appears when fully charged, also they seem to last forever
