This smells super strong when you spray it. Make sure you are not in a small enclosed area. Possibly open a window. On the other hand it is a great spot spray after you use medication. My cat got instant relief and was scratching less within 24hrs. Since it was strong I put on gloves and spray my hand and massages it in the hard to reach areas of my cat.

It has been a few daysthat I have been using this Advantage Cat Flea Treatment Spray, and it has really blown me away! Flea control and tick management for my cat during the warm months when these pests seemingly reproduce overnight could not have been more effective. Things I love about this product: Very effective at killing fleas and ticks: It is super effective at killing fleas and ticks very quickly, with my cat visibly scratching less after one application, and by the next day, it was clear that there were no fleas or ticks. Easy to use: The 8 oz-size bottle is just right, and the applicator nozzle provides an even dispersion across my cat. I like how easy it is to use, just a few spritzes here and there, and I’m done. Gentle on the cats: My cat has sensitive skin, and I was a bit worried about using a spray. This formulation wasn't irritating at all. My cat didn't seem bothered after application and seemed perfectly comfortable, with no signs of dry skin or discomfort. Long-lasting: Not only does this spray kill fleas and ticks on contact, but it somewhat keeps them away a while. Neither my cat nor I have to reapply it too often. Great value for money: For the efficacy of this spray, the small amount needed for each application makes it an excellent value. A bottle lasts a long time and is cost-effective for flea treatment.

I ordered 2 bottles of these sprays, and one of them the sprayer never worked on it. I couldn't return it normally either. Under a to z guarantee, j just called amazon explain my problem and they refunded the one for me and let me dispose of the broken one. Was actually easy.

Sadly my dog brought fleas into the house which got onto our 3 indoor cats and 6 indoor foster cats. We treat all cats/dogs with Frontline every 30 days and treat our yard with a service company and chemicals. We assumed we wouldn't have flea issues but this year it's been bad. We bought this after trying several other treatments, sprays, shampoos, flea combs etc. NOTHING HAS WORKED AS WELL AS THIS. the fleas literally jumped off the cats and died within seconds. As we have learned with fleas pretty much nothing kills the eggs so you do need to do several treatments. Each cat had 50+ fleas jump off and die from the first treatment, about 20ish on the second, and less then 5 now on the third treatment. I would recommend this product to any and everyone. To add a side note, this chemical has a horrible smell that does dissipate quickly, but make sure you are in a well ventilated area with windows and fans to assist in removing the smells... its really really bad, however it's so far the only thing we've found that truly works.

This flea “killer” should be called flea “slower downer.” After spaying, fleas still shuffled around. I would get my flea comb, brush off fleas, spray the fleas, and watch the fleas move around. It did help slow them so I could snap them with my nails. Still looking for a safe product that actually kills fleas.

I tried this because I was looking for a less traumatic way to control fleas on my cat than giving him a flea shampoo. There are two big problems with this product: 1) It does not work, even when used exactly as directed. After use, I noticed no reduction of fleas on my cat and zero dead fleas when I combed him. I comb my cat for fleas daily, so it's very easy to tell if there is any reduction of fleas. Even after giving the product several days to work, there was no improvement. 2) The label says nothing about using in a well-ventilated area, THOUGH THIS IS A MUST. The fine spray is quite noxious and irritated both me and my helper when we sprayed my cat. Using this product as directed will cause a significant amount to become airborne, where it will be inhaled and settle on clothing. This might be acceptable if the product actually worked, which it does not. I consider this product to be dangerous and ineffective, and don't recommend it. I've had considerably more success with Pet Armor Flea and Tick Shampoo, which actually kills fleas but is considerably more difficult to apply (unless your cat likes baths).

This stuff works. It kills fleas fast. Its just really expensive! I bought 8 of these so far. I have tried every single brand that I feel is safe, and this one is the only one that kills fleas fast. I have 6 rescue cats of my own and about 100+ rescue cats at work, so I know what im talking about when it comes to anything for cats. Would be nice to be able to get this in a concentrate.
