Compact, accurate and reliable. The design is very simple and user-friendly. This is an outstanding product.It is on the expensive side, but considering its intended purpose, worth every penny.

I like the size of the scale and its functionality. I do wish it was designed with 2 places after the decimal point however I can live with one place. I fell having 2 calibration weights to calibrate the unit each time gives me confidence in the charge weights I'm using.Although the unit was packaged well I found the stainless steel platen bent on one corner. Since the platen was packaged along with the charger I suspect the unit was tossed around during shipping and became bent. I was able to bend it back close to 80% so it does work.

The scale worked well in the beginning. However, the screen started to fade and now you can hardly see any of the readings. It is almost unusable now as you can't trust what the screen is displaying. It's just an expensive paper weight now.

I was delivered a defective scale that would not calibrate.Contacted Hornady, and returned the defective scale and later received a fully functioning product.This did not cost me any money and was surprisingly quick.

My wife purchased this scale for me. At first I was skeptical of it because it was sitting on the kitchen table steadily dancing from 0 to 4 grains. But after I brought it out to my reloading shop which is heated I leveled it with the bubble using the adjustable feet. Then wiped it down with a used dryer sheet. Then I calibrated it and this this holds rock steady and is repeatable everytime. I spent quite a while with it verifying my powder weights. Then I let it sit in the on position for a couple hours while I cranked on some 9mm ammo. Even with the vibrations from my press didn't affect it. And I checked my loads as usual at every 10th round. A good here and very very happy. I highly recommend to spend the money and get this one.

I discovered that placing the scale on a smooth, hard surface was the key to eliminating apparent drift & non-repeatability.Even placing the feet on a few stray granules of ball powder or having them stuck between the feet serrations makes it seem unstable but it’s actually detecting the movement of the scale.Fix that & it’s very solid & accurate. Definitely worth the money.
