I have a trip to a beach scheduled... and wanted to take some underwater pictures. After reading reviews this one began to get filtered to the top of the list. I pulled the trigger. It arrived timely and so I went through the waterproof testing as outlined by the manufacturer. First attempt "failed". Hmm... maybe I didn't get it fully tight. So I dried it off ensured everything was closed and re-ran the test. Second failure. Well, I after reporting it to Amazon, they sent me a replacement that I tested and this one worked perfectly. The replacement process was quick and very easy.This is a very sturdy device and looks like it would protect my phone well from both a drop and submersion. That being said, I did have to re-program the fingerprint reader to get mine to be recognized with the case on. I have taken a few "random" pictures and they appear to be almost as nice. I am now just looking forward to the trip!Overall, I'd give this a 5-star rating for the quality and customer service.The construction is very well made, easy to figure out. I just gave it a small negative with having to return the original since it didn't function properly and this one required me to reprogram the fingerprint reader. Other than that, I would totally buy this again and suggest other in need of a solid case to consider it.Critieria for Stars:1 - Total rip off, doesn't perform basic advertised functions or not product advertised. I would likely RETURN and would NEVER recommend.2 - Not worth the money. Performs some of the basic advertised functions, but likely not all, and ultimately was deemed as not providing enough value for the money spent. I would not buy again, and would likely not recommend unless the buyer had a very specific use case.3 - It performs the basic functions as advertised, and has some usefulness at the price point, but doesn't work for all of the reasons I purchased. I would likely not buy again, and would only recommend if buyer understood usefulness limitations.4 - It performs most all of the features I purchased it for, but has limitations. I would likely buy again and would recommend.5 - Completely as advertised and likely exceeded expectations. Is if high quality and well shipped. I would totally buy again and recommend.

This case is bullet proff...well not really but it is close. Love it

Not bad but its pretty hard to get on. opening the charger port is very hard to do and it barley reads my fingetprint now even though i redid my fingerprints. very protective and definitely waterproof though!

Phone flew off the top of my car going 45mph and not a scratch on the phone!! Case was totaled after, and I regret not getting a new one because I broke my (caseless) phone a week later-the wife 😅Long story short if you're good at breaking your phone it's worth investing some $$$ in a case like this, only thing I don't like is the screan protector, it got scratched all to crap very quickly

I bought this to protect my phone during a day of Snorkeling. It is absolutely waterproof and was amazingly easy to hold on to while swimming. My reason to take my phone in the water was to take pictures, which unfortunately as soon as I submerged the pressure on the case immediately canceled out the ability to use the touch features on the phone... so no pictures 😞

Tried to take some pics in water about a 12-24". It was not waterproof at all and leaked very quickly. I tested it multiple times in the sink but I think once you have any sort of movement in the water it does not stay waterproof. I made triple sure every time I cleaned it up that everything was sealed as tight as possible. It got worse every time. Do not trust this to keep your phone dry under water unless you are ready and willing to buy a new phone. I've decided to just go with a proper under water device like a go pro or something for next vacation and not miss out on all the memories/pics of cool stuff I saw. I will say for a protective case and dust this thing probably is great, just not what they advertised or what I bought it for.

Great case really does the job

I bought this case because I like to take my phone in the pool and in the water while at the beach, and Lifeproof for some reason stopped supporting Galaxy Phones after the S10... and NO an IP68 rating does not mean you can take it in salt or pool water indefinitely.Pros:This case is exceptionally sturdy and it feels very secure. I have had zero issues with grip thanks in part to the knurling on the sides, and the rubberized coating. There is a fabulous "rubber" edge that rims the screen, so that I can set the phone, screen side down, and not have to worry about it running or sliding away. The buttons work perfectly, and the access cover for the USB-C slot provides a secure seal. The back of the case is a frosted plastic material that is slightly transparent, but it helps to provide a good grip on the phone at times.I have dropped the phone several times while it was in the case, with one of those times being a very disconcerting crunch-smack-ting sound that made my daughter wince. The phone and the case survived unharmed, so good on that...I have had the phone in the pool and the case performs as advertised with regards to being waterproof. It seals and fells as secure as the Lifeproof waterproof cases.Cons:Other reviews seemed hit or miss on the call quality, and I figured I could work around any quirks that came up. I was totally wrong. If I receive a phone call, I either have to answer it on speaker phone, or hurry and jam my Bluetooth earbuds in before I can answer. I have had several people hang up on me when I answered it normally, saying that they had a bad connection, or had a serious echo.I followed the directions on how to install the phone into the case to get the best performance out of the fingerprint sensor. But alas, the screen cover does not actually center over the fingerprint sensor, and the flex of the screen cover still makes the sensor cover bubble on the edges. So I only get a usable fingerprint sensor under certain conditions, and even then only about 25% of the time.My final gripe is that the area that covers/protects the camera bump is made of plastic and has picked up scratches from being set camera side down. The bump in the case is significant to the point where, when I do set the phone down, screen up, it is noticeably wampee-jawed. This also prevents the phone from being leaned up against items while watching videos as the phone will want to teeter and eventually slide down to a laying position.Conclusion:All that being said, I will swap the case out for something that is less waterproof but offers better fingerprint usage and call clarity. I plan to keep the case and will probably put the phone back into it during vacations where I plan to do alot of water activities. Or maybe I will just get a bag case and be one of those people with my phone bag around my neck in the pool... Yeah that sounds fun, time to looks for some white New Balance sneakers.

We used to buy nothing but lifeproof products for our phones, but we're decided to try ghostek when lifeproof dropped their amazing warranty. Needless to say we have all of our phones protected by ghostek products now.Recommend with confidence that you'll be pleased with your purchase.
