Great Solution!
This product works well to address the GM design flaw. When installed on a 2006 Silverado it solved the problem of a leaking brake light. Added pictures that show the thickness of the gasket. Have used for a month with no leaks occurring (including being in heavy northwest rain storms).15 month update: still dry with no issues since installation

Fixed the leak in my 03 Silverado brake light
Noticed wet spot on headliner , put this in seems to have resolved the issue , added some clear silicone for extra insurance
