Stay away guys
OK My fault for not seeing gray and red don't plug together. BUT the red ones seem to have poor design (or manufacture). the pins barely or will not snap into place because the spring retainer is too far forward. I am new to these products but they are simple enough-- I cant believe they are supposed to be like this. All pins are marked "A" but some are also marked "6" on the back side. maybe I've mixed up contacts that came with the red vs. gray but the pins are different, they are not the same finish ('shiny-ness') and it doesn't seem to matter which ones I try in the red housings, they still fit terrible. even if I have mixed them up, I did confirm one brand new baggy has both those marked '6' and those without it, so I think they are intended to be interchangeable and but not cast on the same tooling etc.--there are differences that affect the fit. I will say so far the gray are better, the retainers are further back in the housing and seem to accept the pins okay with a nice solid 'snap' sound. i will better test combinations of pins to housing color and update this if i've made some error and if i can recommend the gray ones for certain.Updated:Yes I confirmed both types of contacts don't even work in the red housing. I would stay far away. So far the gray seems to take both contacts no problem but I would never buy these again. I'll be throwing away the red ones and possibly some of the gray ones I bought. for all I know the contacts aren't aligning properly when the plugs are connected..even with the gray. Probably just go for the authentic brand name. Lesson learned (again...)

Horrible connection
I've installed many connectors like this over the years and these are hands-down the worst pile of garbage I've ever used. They do not make contact will and even if they do at first, they won't for long. Sadly I have this set on my winch in a very awkward and location. In order to get it off and remove it I have to take the whole bumper off. In order to use the winch I have to hold my hand on this connector and apply pressure in order to get the terminals to make a connection. This was a horrible purchase and downright waste of time and effort.

Absolutely thrilled.
I ordered this setup to hook and unhook the second battery in my Astro van.this way I can use the rear battery for my inverter to run my guitar amp etc. Imagine my face when I opened the package and realized this unit could be used on railroad, forklift, etc. If they can be used for a train yo7 know it's a great product.you can't have trains broken down all over the place with a bad battery connector. I will now be driving with complete confidence that I am safe and secure. Now my next task is to keep the battery behind my front seat from falling over and spilling acid on the floor and smelling like sulfuric acid. I'm sure it'll be easy because I have this fine battery connector.

Should work fine.
Don't know what stretch has to do with this item. Bought for use on our 08 T Sequoia to charge the RV battery while towing. Factory 7 way body plug is not setup for charging from the vehicle. I have 30 & 40 amp blade fuse holder on 10 gauge wire. For the length of run the 12 gauge wire zip red/black wire. Pigtail for the battery made up, just waiting to install, connectors are together and polarity is confirmed.

Complete junk.
Terrible. These absolutely WILL NOT connect together and stay together. They have to be zip-tied together…and even then the metal electrical connectors do not always make contact. The cables even ‘back out’ of the connector…they literally just fall apart.Do not buy this product.
