Great quality, strength and durability
We live in an area that has a lot of soft to robust wind. Facing north, we have hot sun issues from the west on our patio area in the late afternoon. We are using the stakes to hold down an 8ft x 8ft sun shade on our pergola. Couldn't attach to posts in the traditional method, so used these in the ground just below the shade. First used a tool to create an opening that would accommodate the length. Then attached mini bungie cords. Works like a charm. Very happy with this purchase.

Great for compacted sand
I have only used these on beaches where the sand is more compacted and not very loose, so I can only speak to their performance in that ground environment, but theyโve been a beach game-changer. They work so much better than regular grooved plastic stakes, and actually stay put. Iโve long struggled with getting the auger of my sun umbrella deep enough when the sand is very firm and dampโฆitโs a serious workout, and takes forever. The manufacturers probably wouldnโt recommend the screws for this, and itโs try-at-your-own-risk, obviouslyโฆ but I use one of the larger ones, along with a drill fitted with their special driver, to drill a hole into the sand to loose it up. Then I reverse the drill, and use another tool shaped like a small pipe enclosed on one end to remove the loosened sand from the hole. I can finally get the auger in quickly and easily! They are also excellent for holding down beach stake-able blankets, and I even use them for anchoring items like inner tubes, which might blow away in the wind when not in use (looping a bungee with carabiners on both ends around the tube, and connecting to the circle at the top of the screw). They are very sturdy, and I havenโt had one crack or break on me yet, even though Iโm technically using them โbeyond recommendedโ applications.

Very sturdy and larger than you think!
These orange tent screws are much larger than I thought they would be! They really helped to keep the tents in the ground! They are expensive, but worth it if you would like to keep your tents from blowing away! We were camping in a small tree space just a little bit back from the beach and ocean. A storm came through and did blow some of our tents down, but we put these tent screws in (he couldn't find where I put them when they first set them up), and the tents did not blow down again. We had two sturdy orange tent screws per tent. Worth the investment and it wasn't too hard to put them in the sandy ground and then put them back up, using the little plastic handle insert thing that comes with it. Be careful of the pointy ends, though. They are real sharp.

Just one step away from perfectโฆ
While it is a great and large tool, the two pack only came with one plastic tube. Now, the images and description do say so, so part of that is my bad, but the very beginning of their own video shows 2 Large with 2 tubes. So what does this mean? You have one safe and easy giant screw, and a second sharp screw that would puncture most bags you toss it into. Iโd recommend getting 2 of the individual items instead of the double pack of danger. I havenโt checked yet but hope I can at LEAST buy another tube for Mr. Stabby. I include an image from their promo video showing 2 safely tubed screws.

and the screw portion of the shaft seems pretty durable, well constructed
I purchased these for a number of uses, but mostly to see if they can hold a beach umbrella steady. They seem long enough to dig into the stand, and the screw portion of the shaft seems pretty durable, well constructed, and like it will dig in pretty easily. The size of the shaft is similar to the handle of a rubber mallet (see picture), to give some idea about the width. The eyelet is obviously big enough to handle a wide range of cordage so I'm not too worried about that. I will update when I am able to test it out at the beach. So far they have worked perfectly for holding down a backyard canopy in high winds. My only complaint (and I don't know if this was a fluke) is that the 2 pack only comes with one plastic sleeve that can be used to turn the screws.

Worth the price; survived wind storms!
I used these to secure my hunting blind tie downs. It was on top of a hill and this survived multiple wind storms. Other stakes I have used in the past all pulled out and the blind blew away, but these survived lots of extreme weather. I'm extremely impressed. They are definitely more expensive, but worth it! These will be my go-to stakes in future years.

Great for holding down huge inflatables in the wind
Last year we bought a 9 foot tall St Bernard lawn inflatable (it's a Christmas thing), and before long we were watching the poor guy barely stay on the ground (we tied one leg to a tree) with all of the stakes tore out. We replaced the two big line stakes with these and each of the legs with a four pack of the smaller screws. No issues whatsoever. We actually had a couple lines snap with the stakes remaining placed in the ground. Installation is a breeze with the included tube to help twist these in, and they come out easily as well. Great stuff!

Amazing!
I bought this for my 70lb dog and it works well! I thought she'd pull hard and it would come out but it didn't budge. Very sturdy and easy to screw in and out.

Strong and I would buy again. Used to prop a tree with aero cable and they were perfect.

Works on the toughest soil ever.
I keep our snowblower in a small tent all winter. I have had an extremely difficult time finding tent stakes that will work in our backyard. We have a tangle of pine tree roots that have broken several steel auger type ground anchors and bested every peg I've tried. With at least two or three other steel auger type anchors I spent an hour or more trying to get them in the ground with zero success. I broke welds and/or bent the augers. Given how many steel anchors I've gone through I was very skeptical that the Orange Screw would work, I did not think any plastic anchor could possibly work, but I gave it a try - and I have been IMPRESSED. I also purchased the tool that allows you to use a drill to drive the Orange Screw into the ground and it went in like a hot knife through butter. I was astounded how easily it went in when EVERYTHING else I tried over the last three years failed at some level. These went in so easily that I might not have needed the drill adapter. For most applications I suspect that the T-handle tube that comes with the Orange Screw would work just fine. This is one of those purchases that I wish I had made YEARS earlier. It would have saved my knuckles countless assaults, spared my back from repeated trauma, and would have spared my neighbours from their ears being scorched from the torrent of obscenities which accompanied each of my previous attempts to get ANY kind of ground anchor to hold properly in our backyard. I'd give the Orange Screw 10 stars if I could. If you have something you need anchored to the ground - pretty much anywhere, in any type of soil - get the Orange Screw and save the obscenities for the politicians on TV. Your neighbours will thank you.

Works well!
Our 9 month old Kangal puppy pulled the stake right out of the ground when she took off to chase a squirrel. I put it back in the ground and she was fine. I wouldn't trust the screws to hold the dogs if they wanted to go. But good overall, don't leave dogs unattended.

Works as advertised
Just came back from camping for five days at the Winnipeg Folk Festival and these ground screws were the bomb. Our 10' x 10' shade shelter didn't move an inch when guy lined at each corner to the screw which held fast in the sandy soil for the entire festival. I've used the massive plastic tent pegs in the past to keep the shelter in place but they would keep pulling out because of the type of soil (one of them even bent from the force of the wind trying to lift 100 square feet of sail into air). Yes, they are expensive, but the piece of mind they give while our group is away from the campsite and the winds pick up unexpectedly is well worth the price.
