Better than expected
I wasn't expecting too much for the price but this kit is actually very good. 100% metal, I was surprise that also the ballhead is entirerly made in metal and robust not like other trow-away ballheads that I found in chinese kits for the GoPro . I bought this for an Insta 360 R One and the product is perfectly adequate. With the provided adapter I can connect a small stick avoiding the ballhead, I then go straight to the metal cage I've for my Insta360. This is not for DSLR but for Sport Action and Insta360 cameras. Relatively lightweight devices. I use this to put the 360 between the two front seat of a car so I can video the entire driving experience. There are some vibrations due to the car movement but the floting horizon of the Insta360 eliminates all of them.

When clamped horizontally, its T-handled bolt is wayyy too weak. Mine broke.
I needed this piece of hardware in order to mount a trail camera to the wooden handrail at the rear steps of my house. Due to that handrail's orientation, the item's jaw clamp must function horizontally; not upright as was likely intended by its designer. When it is clamped horizontally the result ( in engineering terms ) is called an "overhung load". In that case there is far more clamping force required, because the force of gravity on the camera results in mechanical leverage on this item. The weight of my horizontally mounted trail camera caused so much leverage on this item, that I couldn't get it's jaw clamp tight enough to stabilize the camera's position without overstressing it's primary bolt. That bolt eventually failed, twisting apart into two pieces. The attached photo image shows that broken clamping bolt.Functionally, it's a beautifully simple, elegant design that could do the job with good adjustability. Caveat: You must orient its jaw clamp UPRIGHT, as intended by its designer.Note that if in the future this item's manufacture is revised with upgraded material, then there would be no need to change any of its dimensions in order for it to have reasonably good function and reliability when clamped horizontally. All that is needed is for the T-handled bolt be made of low alloy hardened and tempered steel, instead of unhardened ( Austenitic stainless? ) steel.

Exactly what I needed
I use a dslr into a capture card as a webcam and this was perfect for connecting it to my ring-light mount. Been looking for the right mounting setup for so long and this is the best one I have had so far. Removed the need to have 2 separate poles mounted to my desk. It is so strong, I have a sit stand desk and it never budged when I raise/lower the desk

Holds tight
We took two of these to the Oregon Sand Dunes. Mounted them to the roll cage of a CAN-AM 4 seater. One held a Samsung 360 Cam and the other held my brand new GoPro Hero 9 black. I was nervous while we spent hours on the dunes with alot of heavy bumps and jumping and at the end of the day both were still holding as strong as I originally set them.

Does not support well
While the clamp it self works well, the ball swivel that hold the camera at the angle you wish is does not clamp down. The bolt that tightens to hold it at the angle you choose does not put pressure on the ball and allows the ball to still swivel even when the bolt is tighten as tight as you can get it so any weight will pull it down with gravity.
