Frontier Co-op Simply Organic Peppermill Gourmet Blend, 16oz, 4 Pepper

Frontier's 4 Pepper Blend has been living in my pepper mill for a few years now. Great, punchy pepper flavor, not as one note as your basic black peppercorns. Great deal, and will stay fresh if you use a lot of pepper.

I love these in my grinder. I have purchased them many times. This last time, there was a scant quantity of pink peppercorns. I was a little disappointed, but will forever keep buying these.

I mention keeping pepper dry because the Frontier Pepper brand is always sent to me in a factory-sealed bag which maintains not only its freshness but is kept perfectly free from moisture that could possibly taint the product during shipment. I've reordered Frontier Pepper many times and have never had any reason to switch brands. These different peppercorns blend well and serve perfectly as a filler for your dining room table peppermill. One incidental warning, though, for the advanced cook/chef: this is a mild blend combination of peppers, so if you are looking to spice up Mexican or Indian cuisine, for instance, you would be better served to select one of their more robust pepper blends. But as stated, as an everyday table pepper, this mixture can't be topped.

Anything Frontier is top shelf. Reliable freshness. Safe, clean, organic. I was spoiled with these a few years ago; now I can only buy them on occasion.

While I'm loyal to the Frontier Co-Op brand for a number of spices and spice blends, this Peppercorn Blend was a disappointment. What pours out of the bag is VERY light on the pink variety. I'd need to add pink to get the flavor where I want it. For the cost of the Frontier blend I expected better. Before I go buying more components to create the desired balance of peppercorns in the Frontier blend, I'll be trying a different brand's Kings Blend to see if it delivers better variety and flavor. (For my tastes, adding allspice and coriander to black, white, green and pink peppercorns creates a pleasant character to the blend's flavor range.)
