Good quality, non-adjustable
These are non-adjustable! I have a very sturdy chicken coop and wanted to put these on the lid so that my kids could easily raise it to collect eggs, and not have it fall back on them when they’re using both hands. I installed both of these properly, and there is no way under God‘s green earth that I could close the lid once opened. I have no idea how it was tensioned so high, but I googled the heck out of it and couldn’t find any way to adjust the gas inside the piston. I think these could hold up a Mac truck for crying out loud. It is good quality, but be careful that if you are buying this for Something that is not 8000 pounds, it’s not gonna come back down. There’s a Murphy bed in the picture and these are on the actual hinge point. Perhaps that would be better use for it. There is a math formula they are using, and I installed mine where it was required and it still did not work. I’m going to try to use something that is adjustable.

Doesn’t fit 4Runner
Says it will fit a 2010 Toyota 4Runner but it does not. It’s not even close to right size

Get one that you can pop off the clamp and can insert a new one
Strut work pretty good but was difficult to put on because the clamp didn’t line up with my old one

It works as intended
I used these to help with the lid on a garden box. It helped but wasn't the right strength (67 pound). So I ordered a more powerful strut (100 pound). It's an improvement but still not as strong as I need. But they do work as advertised. Trial and error method. The lid is heavy and it's made of pressure treated lumber and has double pain glass. The 100 pound struts definitely help ease the lift but not quite strong enough to hold the lid open.
