The Untold History of the United States, Volume 1: Young Readers Edition, 1898-1945

I have read both adult versions of The Untold History of The United States and found it to be ...needless to say, alarmingly enthralling. I have a Bachelors Degree in Political Science, and was surprised at some of the things that even I was first time knowing. I have 3 children and I, like Oliver Stone, wanted them to know the truth about our government so I made it a point to buy both of the Young Readers editions. My son is reading the first volume now and is, like I was, finding it disturbing to learn about some of what is written in this book. Its been enlightening to say the least, but I think anyone who is a citizen of the US or heck, just wants to get a more accurate picture of history should read all of the books, including the adult versions. I hope this helps.
