Rubber Cal Elliptical Heavy Duty Floor Mat

My downstairs neighbors complain when the dog gets off the bed too loud, so I was nervous about bringing an elliptical into the home. I needed to exercise for medical reasons though, and wanted to find a way to keep things silent. THIS WAS PERFECT. My neighbors never heard a thing. Not sure if it could handle slamming weights, but it silenced my elliptical, and seemed to absorb a lot of general room noise as well.

This is exactly what I needed for my in home floor protector for my elyptical.

Worked well

First off, the 96-inch version listed as a choice is not actually 96 inches (8 feet), it’s 78 inches (6.5 feet). So beware if you think you’re getting a steal on an 8-foot long by 4-foot wide mat … you’re only getting about 80% of the expected material That said, it’s still an incredible value it just over $30. So I’ll put up with the smell and the hassle of getting it to unroll without breaking off rubber bits, and it being a little bit oily out of the package. It’s evident these weren’t pre-washed. Since I wasn’t able to air it out outside, my whole house was smelling like a weight room within a day. And because I didn’t want any of that black oil to potentially seep into or mark up my hardwood, I purchased some clear chair mats to go under this rubber mat and further thicken the protection for the hardwood. The mat is probably better suited for a garage type environment, where you’d be wearing shoes; it’s that durable. But if you’re in a shoeless household like me, I’d be thinking twice about getting this. And if you’ll be laying down on it as part of your routine, I’d for sure skip this and get a yoga mat or some non-staining interlocking PVC-type tiles instead.

Seriously Heavy Duty and heavy weight. The 4' x 7' mat weighs 26lbs. This is the same material you will finds in CrossFit gyms, just in a thinner mat. (they drop 300+ lb. loaded barbells on the 3/4" version, day in and day out, I own a couple of those as well) The mat rolls out and lays flat immediately, there is a little bit of rubber/tire odor, but it's minimal and to be expected.

Mat is exactly what I wanted for my elliptical. Glad I bought the larger size! It is thick and feels heavy duty. After a few days there was no smell.

Bought this because my chairs were destroying my hardwood floors. Mat isn't really heavy nor super thick. It's really durable as well. I've even used a high powered steam mop on it as well as bleach and it hasn't melted. Would take a lot for things to puncture or damage it. Superb quality!

This mat is thick and heavy duty. Perfect size for our full size elliptical. It did come with a small tear along one of the long edges. The mat is pretty heavy so I think it got manhandled a bit in shipping. A little Gorilla glue fixed it, and once we used a black Sharpie to hide the repair, it was fine.

Nada me gusto ... devolverla cuesra demasiado, quedará guardado para regalar o tirar a la basura ... realmente pésimo.

Product is well constructed and looks like it'll last forever.
