SpryEffergrip Spearmint Chewing Gum, 30 Ct

I like many others decided in the last 12 months to cut out products which had aspartame on the ingredients list, and being a heavy gum user was gutted I had to give up my favourite gum.But I've now found Spry, an aspartame free gum. It's a little dearer than my old gum, but this does include delivery so can't grumble too much. The taste is great, not as sweet as the sugar free gums available in the shops, but the minty taste is rather short lived (which is my only complaint.All in all a very pleasant gum, and definitely worth trying if like me you don't want to consume aspartame.

I don't like the bitterness that it leaves in my mouth after the sweetness is gone.

A nice gum that bot only freshens your mouth but also helps prevent dry mouth. As it's made using Xylitol, it is also said to have antibacterial properties, but I haven't used it for a long enough period to be able to confirm this.

Xylitol has long been known to prevent/reduce the incidence of tooth decay. I am amazed that everyone isn't using more xylitol products in their everyday lives. Google it, and see - the benefits are many, and documented, and there are no negative side effects.Just note that xylitol is dangerous for dogs to consume, so don't let fido get any. ;)We use Spry gum, and granulated xylitol in place of sugar in our house. Also, for most diabetics, it's safe to use. (Check with your doctor, of course!)

I got xylitol gum for the benefits xylitol has been found to have on your teeth. It's a great product since it's a xylitol gum, however it loses its flavour quite quickly so only four stars.
