This is a fair sized cooling rack, and perfect for cookies, however for the average sized cake I would argue this is a little small. You can only fit one cake on it (so if you've cooked two halves you'll need two racks)Also, the bars are a little flimsy, for heavier cakes they definitely give-way quite a bit. And I've had to push them back into position several times.For the price, I can't really complain, but I honestly wouldn't purchase this for heavy use, or for the intention of heavy cakes, or breads. I would gear this more for Cupcake and cookie usage. And my personal opinion, is if you need a cooling rack, just spend a couple more $$ and get one of better quality, you'll appreciate it in the long run if you're cooking a lot.I received this product at a discount

These wire racks are really just as crummy as other reviewers have stated.They will not be useful for holding anything that might go on the grill or oven in the way of cuts of meat.I'm trying to find some use for them so that the purchase won't be a total loss.

I was looking for a smaller rectangle cooling rack that would fit inside baking dishes so I could cook meat on them in the oven over a water bath, or for my husband to cook ribs on.I was particularly drawn to this wire rack because of the height of the feet on it, the feet are also on both sides, so it does not matter which side of the rack is up or down.I had hoped it would fit inside my rectangle glass baking dishes, unfortunately it does not. Almost, but not quite. I even have one that is slightly larger than the standard and nope to that one too.It does however fit in my metal baking pans, I was hoping to avoid using it in them as I wondered if the feet will cause abrasion on the bottom of the pans.This rack is quite sturdy and does the job I needed it to do without any problem.I received this item at a discounted price in exchange for my review

This cooling rack is very nice! its on the smaller side but it will work great for smaller batches of pastries. i mane 24 2-in cookies and they fit fine on it.
