They should never sell a product like this. They bend with my fingers both sides at the same time, and bend on barbells, therefore, cannot set up for a proper lift. I bought these for Olympic lifting and I need these to be certain height not one side higher and the other bent, or both bent. I would not recommend this product at all and will never buy products from this company again.

They seemed solid during my warm up sets, but the instant smaller weights were put on the outside they started to bend and flop. This is a safety problem if you can't be sure where the bar will be when you set it down.They are also 2-3 ounces low by weight. One of my 10 lb weights was 9lb 13oz, the other was 9lb 14oz.

Some people have complained that these plates have a rubber odor. They do. That's probably because they're made out of rubber. There's also a very slight oil residue that you might get on your hands, but if you're concerned about smudging your hands you're probably using 5 pound pink dumbbells instead of bumper plates. The plates I received are holding up well and I'm very satisfied with them.
