I want to use two posters without mounting on board, will this work? Where can I buy the rods to hold them?

Without a rigid board, you'll have a hard time keeping a poster in place. There's no grippers to "stretch" the poster taunt.

Can the stand take weather?

I have it outside but under a roof where it isn’t getting wet, and if it’s too windy we have a block holding the bottom.

As you can see from the photos on the listing, it’s adjustable I did accommodates a variety of sizes. The sign I used was 3‘ x 5‘ and it worked well
