Rubie's Deluxe Harry Potter Robe Boy Costume, Small

I bought the Rubie's official Gryffindor Robe from A2Z kids. It was very poorly made, possibly by someone operating a sewing machine with their feet or that had never seen one before. Every seam was wonky and badly turned, which is pretty impressive considering they are almost all straight lines, it takes a special kind of carelessness to do them all badly. The hood was 3 inches off centre, which made the robe sit wonkily on the shoulders and hang badly to one side. The strip of lining curled out of the front of the robe instead of sitting inside. I did not have time to return it before it was needed (and I was also concerned that the replacement would be just as shoddy) so I have had to: unpick and reattach the hood correctly, resew the bottom hem and tack the lining down. The packaging has "Made in the USA!" emblazoned all over it, trust me USA, you do not want to associate yourself with this shoddily made item. Plus points that have dragged this review up to 2 stars: About the right size. The Gryffindor crest badge is a separate, embroidered item. It arrived quickly. To sum up: Don't waste your money, how this can be described as "deluxe" is a flipping mystery.

Really pleased with this, nice material not all cheap and shiny. Some of the seams were a bit wonky but still looked lovely on. A really good size too. Bought it for my extremely tall 8yo but it was almost big enough for me too.

Not the best it just how it looks, poor quality and poorly made, packaging was damaged so if you were going to give this as a present someone would be disappointed.

Lovely quality, embroidered badge is great and the removable clasp a great addition. My son is 4'5" and I ordered the large, fits perfect and will last him a good while. Fleece material better than most flimsy dress up costume materials. Very happy to recommend to others.

My granddaughter hardly took it off on Christmas day. The clasp is fiddly and failed quite quickly so I had to glue it back together but overall, a good item.
