OP/TECH tripod carry straps for tripods without cases
Typical OP/TECH quality that I never have to worry about protecting my equipment. With a heavier tripod like a sturdy old Bogen or metal Manfrotto... the ability to use the padded shoulder strap from my camera while it rides in a case is highly practical and saves having to purchase an additional pad just for occasional use with tripods

I am glad that I was able to use the camera strap ...
I am glad that I was able to use the camera strap as a tripod strap thanks to the addition of Optech's tripod loops, so the camera strap is not collecting dust not being used! Optech make quality gear for photographers.

Not bad idea, but needs more R&D
Well built, but causes as many issues as meant to cure. I think attaching ring points to the top and bottom of a tripod with a line-and-handle connecting the rings would be a better option.

No more tangles
Combined with the tri sling harness these are such a real boon it saves having lots of straps criss crossing your body and getting tangled

the top connector on the Utility Strap connects to my camera and the smaller tripod strap fits around my monopod so I can carry
I purchased this in conjunction with the Op/Tech Utility Strap and Bino/Cam harness. The Utility strap and Bino/Cam Harness all use the same pinch connectors for attaching to the camera which makes the entire system of straps very convenient. In the case of these tripod loops, the top connector on the Utility Strap connects to my camera and the smaller tripod strap fits around my monopod so I can carry the camera comfortably with the weight of the camera and monopod spread across my shoulder. When I want to take a picture, just disconnect the tripod strap so the monopod can be placed on the ground. No need to disconnect the top strap from the camera so I always have a secure attachment to the camera. The only reason I gave it only 4 stars is that the pinch connectors are very stiff. The Tripod Loops are designed to allow you to carry a full tripod using the Utility Strap but I do not expect to ever do that. The larger of the tripod loops may yet be useful since it fits around my 800mm lens and would allow me to strap the lens/monopod combination to the Utility Strap while switching to a smaller lens and using the Bino/Cam Harness for the camera and smaller lens.I also found it convenient to use the Utility Strap with just the smaller tripod loop to carry the monopod with no camera/lens attached. It dangles from my hip until I need to pull my big lens out of the camera bag and use it.
