Love it
I am personally a fan of the women's fragrances and Philosophy product line, so when I saw this for men I had to get it for my boyfriend. He really loves it and it smells amazing- nice and fresh and clean! Yay for Amen!

Sophisticated scent, soft projection
Top notes: tea and citrusmiddle notes: spicesbase notes: musk and sandalwoodScent: I was worried this was going to be just another cologne composed of citrus/spices/musk. That's a proven and easy-to-like scent profile -- so proven and likable that it's become common. Amen is actually something more -- a subtle scent where the tea tempers the brightness of the citrus up top and the spices and sandalwood provide an almost woody dryness underneath. The notes are very well-blended; no one note predominates. Amen definitely has a personality -- a sophisticated, soft-spoken one. While marketed to men, this cologne could work for the right woman.Performance: Amen has surprising longevity. I could still faintly smell this on my wrist six hours after spraying, which is very good for a soft fragrance. The downside is the projection, which is almost non-existent after the first hour. According to philosophy, this is not a bug but a feature. Amen is being marketed as an anti-Axe Spray -- not so much a fragrance as a kind of alternative to fragrance. People who get close to you won't think, "Ah, philosophy's Amen sure smells good" -- instead, they'll think, "Ah, [YOUR NAME HERE] sure smells good." In short, this cologne is for the guy who likes the clean, close-to-the-skin smell of fine soap but wants it to last most of the day instead of an hour.Price: While Amen is not top-of-the-line expensive, it's not exactly inexpensive, either. Make sure to compare colognes by cost-per-ounce. I have a 2-oz. bottle of Amen that prices-out at around the same cost as some 3-oz. and 4-oz. bottles of other colognes. I don't think Amen is too expensive given the quality of the scent, but your mileage might vary.Summary: Amen is a spicy, sophisticated scent that lasts a long time but projects weakly. For me, it's a cologne that works for every season and for any time of day. It's not the kind of bold fragrance suitable for clubbing, but that's by design -- it shines as an office scent. It's primarily made for you and for those whom you pull close. Overall, I'm giving Amen four out of five stars.P.S. philosophy dresses its packaging with copy blocks written to sound contemplative and/or food-for-thoughtish. Below is the copy on Amen's box. I'm not certain how this copy connects to the scent, but I'm including it here in case it speaks to you:philosophy: the difference between a hero and a superstar is that a hero doesn't need a crowd. many of us have lost sight of who our true heroes really are. they are the "a" men and women who defend our country, do menial chores and act as good neighbors. whether they sweep streets or lead a nation, they walk the talk. we don't need another superstar. we do need to salute our true heroes. amen.

Wonderful scent
I love this cologne! I’ve been purchasing this scent for my eldest son for the last 2 years and it’s the only thing he wears; it’s clean subtle and alluring

Use Sparingly, The Citrus Notes are Strong!
Got this for the Hubby, but he is not a fan. He thinks the citrus notes are overwhelming. I rather liked it, in fact, so much that I have taken to using it sparingly myself sometimes. It's a clean and slightly citrus scent, and when used in small doses it adds a nice fresh scent, great for those of us gals who dislike the flowery heavy perfumes that are the usual female norm. The bottle is a nice quality, and so is the spray mechanism. Many times, I have purchased scent and found the bottle and sprayer so cheaply made that it was tough to use and control the amount of scent released. This is actually a pretty large bottle, and will last a long time. At the price, I wouldn't probably buy it for myself or my husband, but if you normally spend this much and like a citrusy fresh scent or your man does, it will do the job. Just remember, not too much at once, because when overused the citrus is way too strong to be pleasant.

Nice clean fresh fragrance
Nice clean fresh fragrance. Combine it the shower gel! You'll love the way you feel in the morning. A nice spritz at night after a shower is worth it!
