Worth It!!
Read all the reviews on this and decided to give it a try. Added all 3 extensions to my Canon 100mm Macro L Series lens and it worked great. The autofocus worked at times but I would rather dial the photo in myself. It does feel light and looks cheap, but it does work and it does take some pretty good macro photos.

Inexpensive but effective for occasional use
An inexpensive but workable product for occasional use. Mounting surfaces aren't highly polished so that mounting to lens and camera is slightly gritty, yet the tubes function well.

Cheap quality, contacts didn't work
Good brands that have items manufactured at facilities in China are generally OK, but this is a Chinese brand and as is unfortunately typical for such brands they have poor quality control. The first clue was an included quality control card that was blank and had no date or other information filled out or stamped on it. It was just for appearances. These tubes felt like they were made of the lightest, cheapest plastic available. I couldn't believe I had paid $35 for something that felt like it came from a dollar store. Each of the 3 rings has a set of contacts which allows the lens to communicate with the camera for aperture control and autofocus. Two fo the rings seemed to work when used individually, but the contacts on the third one didn't work. What's more frustrating was using ANY 2 of the rings in combination or all three didn't work either. These were clearly built to very sloppy and poor tolerances resulting in the contacts not making proper contact. When putting any of the rings on my camaera or connecting them to eachother they had a very gritty, nasty feel when locking them together, not that clean, machined feel you get when you put a Canon lens on a Canon body.Viltrox should be ashamed of themselves, but I know they aren't. Companies like this make stuff for pennies to the lowest quality standards in China and charge full retail prices selling direct to US consumers on Amazon and the like.I returned them and recommend looking at other options.

Works in a pinch, but I really wouldn’t recommend
The media could not be loaded. My first impression opening the box was that of nervousness. It’s a Chinese product with broken English instructions. It feels very cheap and lightweight. I guess the lightweight part isn’t that big of a deal since extention tubes don’t really have much in the way of mechanisms in them. Also the release buttons are pretty flimsy and wiggle around. The first time I attempted attaching it to my mark 5d4 and 24-70mm lens, my camera wouldn’t even turn on. I was terrified that it broke my camera. Im not sure but this may have been due to not attaching the tubes to the camera body first and then attaching the lens, but i cant remember in what order i did it then. Anyway. I took it off, reattached my lens to the body, removed and reinstalled the battery and the. Ky camera turned back on fine. I then tried the tubes again and this time everything seemed fine. Now to be fair, the description says that autofocus won’t work well with all the tubes on, only when one is attached at a time, so I expected that. However i was disappointed to find that autofocus doesn’t always work even when only one is attached. I noticed this particularly with the 12mm ring. At least i can still manually focus. The last time I attempted to use it, i tried using all three stacked again with manual focus. As soon as i clicked the shutter, my camera errored out saying that the communication with the lens failed. Tried unattaching and reattaching and got the same error. I haven’t tried individual rings since then. So im unsure if they will work. Honestly for my purposes using individual rings is probably all i will need, but it sort of is the principle of things that a product should deliver on what is promised, and this does only on half of what is promised. My advice is that if you are in desperate need of macro capability like yesterday but just don’t have the budget for it, this may squeak you by. But I wouldn’t count on consistency or on it lasting very long. And if you can manage to save for a macro or at least a name brand tube set, do that.Update: it now appears that the contacts on the 12mm went bad and wont let me take a photo at all. The other two rings still seem ok. Maybe an entirely manual set would have been better. Nothing to really malfunction like this.

I researched many tube sets
These tubes are fun. They change on and off easily, haven't had any issues with Canon EOS SL1. Remember to add more light with the tubes or adjust your exposure, 1-2 stops sufficient. (exposure compensation feature) They fit very well, fun to stack, tripod necessary. I am pleased with the quality. All camera functions still work. I can get closer with these stacked than with magnification set. Haven't tried both combined yet, but still experimenting with different macro set ups. I researched many sets and these were the most reasonable priced for the quality. Very happy with purchase, no issues

Awesome quality, great functionality, top notch product.
This is AWESOME! Absolutely amazing build quality and allows me to take some amazing photos. Thank you VILTROX. All hail our new extension tube overlords! woohoo! Springs are great. Latches perfect. Sounds professional taking one of these off and putting them on. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for a set of extension tubes.

It’s cheap, you get what you pay for
They are very tight on the lens and when they are together. Almost feels too tight.

Great value. Lots of options for little money.
Still learning how to use it, but seems pretty nice so far. Lots of options with the different rings. Instructions are difficult to understand. Probably translated from something else into English. The fit of one ring is a little tight, but otherwise looks like good quality all around.
