These buttons are an excellent touch to a custom controller. However, if you want to be creative, it will start to get expensive. In total, I spent about $100 for all extra parts to create both controller’s looks. Considering a brand new one is $70, you can debate if it’s worth it.The reason for the 4 star review is because their video is not the greatest for step by step instructions and a major downfall is not having directional arrows or shapes on the buttons like the original PlayStation controllers have. The reason for this is probably for legality issues.If you read other reviews of people breaking their controller and blaming it on the buttons, it’s just the individual not doing things properly. There are plenty others who have no trouble whatsoever. Additionally, there are better step by step videos on YouTube. Just take your time and you’ll be fine.Happy gaming! Get creative and have fun! This is my 1st controller mod and I'm absolutely in love with it!! Everything fit perfectly, easy to install, looks amazing, controller fully works after putting it back together. I followed a YouTube tutorial that was extremely clear and direct with extra tips included, for example L1/L2 have some specific things you need to pay attention to during re-assembly or else they won't work after.There was only 2 parts that would have made this perfection:1) wish the buttons came with the PS icons and arrows on the D pad2) tiny bubble on one of the D-pad arrows (see last photo)

So as of this writing, following every single step of the (incredibly fast and hard to follow with horrendously loud music) instructional video, I installed every single part of the trigger and face buttons correctly, yet for SOME UNKNOWN REASON, now my L2 and L1 buttons no longer work, and this in turn makes all face buttons not work in game. This was AFTER having to take apart and rebuild the controller TWICE after the initial problem it gave me, being the adaptive left trigger kept going on and off and making a loud clicking noise. I have been at this trying to fix this f@#%ing controller for OVER 3 DAYS, and I KNOW doing installs like this voids my warranty from Sony, so unless there is some magic fix out there, I'm out a controller thanks to these pretty pieces of plastic. So beyond mad.

I used several parts to complete this swap. Instead of buying a broken ps4 controller, it was far more easy going this route. The main reason for this purchase was to get the black out D pad along with the Share and Start button. Im happy with how it turned out.

I have never customized a controller aside from the peel and stick types. I was nervous as hell thinking I would for sure ruin my PS5 controller. Put their how-to video up on my tv and paused it as often as I needed. Waited until I had all the pieces I was changing and did everything at once. Took me around 2 hours (again, never done this before and I also had a flex cable completely fall out that I had to figure out where it went). Played Astro’s Playroom to make sure controller worked 100%, all the way around. All their products are well worth the money and worth the time and effort to put them on. 100% would recommend!

These controllers are fairly complex and the components are small. I found the YouTube video from this company for the install. I HIGHLY recommend watching and having it by you side for reference. It made the process much easier. Kit includes a pry tool, extra screws and is very well built. Installed just as the video demonstrated and worked perfectly after completion. Really like the new look! Great product, great company!

These we're mostly easy to install. The only "difficult" part was R2/L2. There's 4 screws and a metal rod holding this in place as well as a gear system that needs to be placed back in the exact way it's taken out. Still pretty easy to do.

The buttons are great but remember they aren’t Sony licensed or official parts so the feeling is a little different but it makes the remote pop. I love it and it looks great. The install is not easy as you need to take the entire remote apart but if you follow the instructions it is pretty straightforward. I YouTube the installment video online and found it very understandable and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend it to anyone.

Trust me taking a screwdriver to something new isn't something I do lightly but it will transform the look of the controller.L1 & L2 buttons are a bit of a pain just because of the design but once you've done it it will look great.My only gripe and the reason for 4 out of 5 stars is that it would have been nice to have seen the Playstation icons on the buttons.

Bought this alongside buying the seperate faceplate looks really good on controller but is a bit expensive maybe if this was a complete kit with the facelplate included would be better value as you have to buy the matching faceplate seperate

Bought them and fitted them easily, the tutorial video on YouTube was amazing very informative

Great addition to my ps5 controller which makes it stand out from the original controller.

Patience is a must but it's well worth it. Everything fits great and works like the original buttons.
