TyconOrtho Wedge Shoe (XS)

Broke foot three weeks ago, gave me heavy boot, I ordered shoe, wanted to wear instead of boot. Nurse didn't recommend it. I wore a few times for a while, foot pain was worse. Have been using with crutches when I am sick of boot, or have to leave bed to go in other room and back. Would make a good recovery shoe or for broken toe would be perfect. Bought XS, perfect fit, I wear 5 1/2 or 6. The ankle strap was way longer so I cut it. The shoe makes foot go up so high that ankle hurts. Not something you could wear all day, hard to walk with. Still, with broken anything it's worth a try. I recommend good sock or wrap with if foot is broken, and walking very slow. I hurt my foot a few times and decided to go back to boot.

My wife accidentally dropped a 12 pound bowling ball on her foot, pulverizing small bones in her big toe, a week before a two-week cruise. This shoe replaced the one the hospital gave her and saved our cruise vacation! She wears a size 5 shoe and the extra small size was perfect. The design of the shoe takes essentially all pressure off the toes and everything forward of the ball of the foot. She used a wheelchair to move long distances for the next two weeks, but used the shoe to go up and down stairs and walk short distances (say, a hundred yards or less) in relative comfort. She particularly liked that the shoe was supple enough and adjustable enough to be comfortable on the rest of the foot because she ended up wearing it for nearly a month.

Easier to walk on than I thought. For the price a good buy.

Runs extremely smaller then described. Had to return product.
