Great Value
I got the pastel kit and these colors are SO cute!! I bought my own little tester sticks so you can see all the colors. My nails in this photo are done from this set and almost 3 weeks old in the photo - they’re lasting great!I will note that if you’re use to NailBoo or one of those companies, these wells are tiny in comparison. But I’d guess you’d still get at least 5-10 sets from each well. I also will not I didn’t use the liquids on my fingers. I did use their liquids on my testers though and it seems to work great! I’ve just found liquids I really like from a different company and wanted to use with these colors.

Great beginner all-inclusive kit with clear and bright color payoff
As far as beginners go, this is a great kit that includes everything you could need to apply and enjoy a nice dip nail manicure. The color selection is great for nude or colorful sets and the pictures are very accurate to the real life payoff. The glitters vary in consistency and require more care in applying for a satisfying result. The liquids work well together and are pretty simple to understand and use, but do require a bit more care than described in the instructions to keep them from becoming contaminated. Overall, I've loved using the glitter powders and the top coat is excellent. I don't personally prefer the included Beetles base because I prefer a thinner base (like the inexpensive asp Quick Dip acrylic powder set) and I found using just their top coat or their all-in-one base and top coat doesn't give me a long-lasting manicure. I'm pretty hard on my nails, so YMMV.THE VALUE: Excellent for what is provided.EASE OF USE: Good for beginners.THE POWDERS THEMSELVES: Great variety of colors and great color payoff. The glitters are coated so the glitter powders have stronger color payoff than other powders available at this price point (where it's just silver glitters set in a lightly-colored translucent base.) The downside to coated glitters is that if you file the glitter powder down for a more even appearance, the silver will show. Some of the glitter colors are chunkier than others (Z571, the true blue specifically) and are more difficult to get an even application. This could be due to the higher proportion of glitter to base powder for those colors. In comparison, the deep blue Z572 is a DREAM to apply and I didn't need to do much/any filing with it after a little practice. The solids are all opaque and smooth. Some of the darker colors lose a bit of visible pigment when filed down, but not as much as blacks or really deep colors can.THE LIQUIDS:My biggest complaint is that this set doesn't include any prep liquids. If there was a dehydrator included, this would be an A+ for beginners since skipping that step leads to massive lifting issues. A dehydrator and bonding liquid (like Sparkle & Co's pH prep) are two things I consider essential with ANY nail product application, from polish to traditional acrylic. The base and top coat are pretty thick and make it difficult to apply a thin layer. The base WILL dry out quickly if you don't take a lot of extra care (wiping the excess liquid off the top of the neck before you put the brush back in EVERY TIME) while applying your manicure. I personally don't like how thick the formulas are since thicker layers are more prone to breaking/cracking/chipping. Even when I use copious layers of Activator on the powder and base, the chipping issues were things I had to fix daily. Every day, I was repairing or reapplying at least one nail. I didn't like the all-in-one base and top coat from Beetles as it lead to crumbling-type issues with cracks or chips with how hard I am on my nails.I prefer using ASP's Quick Dip liquids with these powders as it prolongs lifting/chipping/cracking from 1-3 days with Beetles liquids to a week+ per nail. I still use the Beetle Top Coat for shine since it's glorious for that. I think their UV cure gel topcoat is the best for a low-fuss and longer-lasting shine.

Amazing stuff!!! Wish I knew about this sooner :)
I am a mom to 7 kids and I don't have the time to sit down and use time consuming products. I also don't have the desire to pay tons of money at a salon and sacrifice time away from my family to get my nails done. So in the past I have tried different at home nail kit's to be able to save time, money and still get the "salon look" and that has the power to stay on my nails with everything I get into everyday. I have tried the gel polish in the store, also CND Shellac and drying it with the UV light and most recently I tried just plain old OPI from amazon and used the OPI fast drying topcoat. None of these stood the test of time, if they didn't smudge shortly after I got done painting them they would end up chipping and I would have awful looking nails. I would rather not paint my nails than have chipped nails. So I came across someone's facebook post last week and they were talking about dip powder at which time I decided to look into, a couple of youtube videos later I decided to purchase this product on Amazon.I received the product in the mail a couple of days ago, I just found the time last night to sit down and give it a try. It took me just one hour from start to finish to get done with my nails. There was no smudging, smearing, crinkling or any other damage done to the nails from not drying during the entire process. What I liked is that once you got the powder on and dried each layer it was dry no questions asked. Also let me just say you don't have to be a salon professional to use this product. This product is very easy to use, comes with great instruction's and all of the tools you need. Make sure that you follow the instructions and you will come out with a great SALON LOOK for a fraction of the cost. Plus with this kit you can do your nails and others many times. It doesn't take a lot of powder to do a whole set. They have a wonderful shine to them once you are complete and they feel very sturdy. Now to see how long they last........I will have to keep you updated on that.I would for sure buy this product as a gift and I will also continue to use this and probably eventually purchase other colors.

Pleasantly Surprised
I tried this product with tips to make my nails full length the first time I used it. You must take your time applying it, to not get the powder on your nail beds. It required alot of filing down, and I would suggest buying a couple naul files of various grits to get it super smooth. All in all would buy again.

Pretty easy to use actually!
I was paying $80 plus tax for dip manicure in the salon. This has a bit of a learning curve but it’s actually pretty easy to do. I recommend not getting any of the lacquer on your skin because it’s kind of a pain to remove but you can use a file to get it off. Very good value for the money, lots of really nice colors

The base is way too thick, end result is terrible.
I tried this and a Modleones dip kit around the same time and the difference was like night and day. The base on the Beetles kit was so thick I couldnt get even close to an even coat on my nails and the end result was not just an uneven look but also seemed to crack and fall apart within a day or two. The colors are gorgeous but useless if they won't actually stay on your nails, especially for the cost of this kit. I don't recommend it.

Not great.
I loved their gel polish so I figured the dip would be good too. Sadly it’s not, and the product chips and cracks within a day or less of wearing compared to other brands I’ve used.
