Strong. True slow feeder
Some hay nets say they are slow feeders and they are not. This bag fits a LOT of hay and the holes are small. I will be purchasing more.

Perfect small holes
Good size of holes for true slow-feeding. Have been using it daily for a couple months now and it’s holding up well.

Save your money
I just received the Haynet used it for the first time to feed 2 flakes and found it full of holes after one use. I am very disappointed in the poor quality and waste of $40 I spent on this. I've used Haynets for years and have never had any this bad.

Effectively slows hay consumption
I bought this net to slow down my horse and to prevent her 2 goat pals from wasting hay. Prior to using this net, I was double netting their hay in two Tough-1 slow feed nets. While that was fairly effective, I wanted to slow her down further in order to aid in the prevention of gastric ulcers.I am using this net to feed a 3.5 year old still-growing Quarter Horse with an average appetite, plus her 2 mid-sized goat companions (who would eat till they burst). I am feeding compressed timothy hay that is quite fine with a high ratio of leaf to stem. I hang this hay net from a rope attached to an eye hook in the ceiling of the barn. Because it swings freely, it is harder for the animals to get the hay since they cannot push it up against the wall and easily tug out mouthfuls. This slow feeder net, suspended, allows my three animals combined, to eat about 1.5lbs of hay per hour. When I hang it against the wall, they can eat about 1.75lbs of hay per hour.I feed 12-15lbs of hay at a time in this net, depending on how cold the temperature is. This quantity only fills the net less than half. I think it could fit the entire 50+lb double compressed bale if I cut the straps open after the hay was in the net.Although I haven't had this net long enough to attest to its durability, it seems to be nearly identical in material and construction to the Tough-1 hay nets I have happily used daily for 6 years. I predict this net will have very similar durability.I would highly recommend this hay net if you are looking to slow down greedy animals and keep hay in front of them longer. In fact, I immediately ordered a second one.

Durability
Have 9 of these nets all from the same company. Fast shipping and the nets themselves are so durable my mouthy Arab hasn't been able to rip them apart like cheaper versions!

BEST hay net! Feed coastal? Use this.
I've had it for almost 5 months, almost daily use, and it looks brand new.It has been thrown around the pasture, stomped into the mud, kicked, squashed, clipped and roped to posts and trees and fences and it hasn't missed a beat. The holes are small, about 1 inch square, and this is the minimum size for our fine, coastal hay. All other hay nets spill out too much hay and my horse vacuums it up. This net works like a net should, slowing him down and keeping the hay secure. There's not a lot of waste and he can have hay throughout the day now instead of gobbling it up and going without. This net hasn't shredded, torn, stretched, or frayed AT ALL, including the main rope. I'm really impressed. My horse is violent with hay nets. He throws them around and beats the hay out of them, but this one takes a lickin' and keeps on kickin'.It opens really wide and holds probably half a square bale. If you're feeding two or three flakes, this puppy won't bat an eye - it's laaaaarge and swallows up flake after flake of hay.If I ever need a spare or want to have one in the barn for easier switching out, this is the one I'll buy. r

Updated review: didn’t last
Update: these lasted 6 months. Not the same quality as previous years. I usually get a year out of them. I won’t order this brand again.Original review: It's hard to find 1"x1" holes in a hay net which is perfect for my chubby mini and my horse. This is the third time I've ordered these (two at a time) and I usually get just over a year before I have to replace them. I have aggressive chewers so I think I'm getting my money's worth.
