Cookie and Mac🥰
You have to read this book..... Hot, Hilarious, Heartwarming and at times Heartbreaking. If you are going to treat yourself ‘to me from me’ then this is the gift.In my opinion this is Ms Daws best writing. The characters are fabulously real. The female solidarity, support and strength was a real pleasure to read. Freya’s struggles and doubts were true to life and Mac’s unwavering love and care for her made him such a sweetheart. What Mac went through himself was very well written and made my heart break for him. Tissues at the ready!!Fantastic banter, great dialogue and just a joy to read.... my only complaint.... I read it too fast!!

This is Maclay Logan aka Mac & Freya Cook aka Cookie storyMac and Freya have been friends for over a year they hang out watch Netflix chill and argue a lot love it when she calls him a cow.Mac plays football for Bethnal Green FC along with his best friend Roan and the Harris brothers.Freya is Mac best friend he will do anything for her the banter between the two of them will have you LOL from the start.Freya is approaching her 30th birthday and all she wants is a date for her best friends wedding.Mac decides to be her love coach what starts out as hanging out and taking Freya to places she has never been before turns into something so much more for them both. What happens when you go from friends to lover and fall in love with each other. I guess you will have to read it to find out and believe me you will love Mac & Freya journey plenty of laughs and wtf moments along the way.Bonus we get to meet all the Harris gang and their offspring which is hilarious I might add download it now.

Good read
I really liked this book for most of the time and would have given it a 5 star but at around 80% the heroine was just a selfish cow and that put me off her a lot. The hero was actually going through a personal tragedy and he tells her as much and all she can do is wallow in self pity and be woe is me. Totally killed the bit about her being in love with him or even knowing the rules of the friends with benefits angle they had going on or even just being a decent friend. Otherwise the book is good.

Fun read
Freya is one of those women who thinks her figure is awful and it makes her thinks she will never find a man who will love her. She has a best friend, the very sexy footballer Mac who has been enjoying her company for a year without there being anything sexual between them. He finds out she is a virgin and he tells her he will help her find her sexual self but only for a month. Mac is determined that football will be first in his life especially after his previous relationship damaged his game. Its a fun story helped by characters from the Bethnal Green series. I didnt like... in fact I hated the use of the c*** word. It had no place in this book and I just cannot see what reason the author had to use it especially so between women. deduct a star.

Pretty good
3.5 🌟Of course this being a plus size romance I wanted to read it straight away. But around 25% into the book things became a little weird and the conversations felt a bit off. Freya would jump from being proud and confident to clueless and very naive, the constant use of the sex was very weird that at 29 years old she didn’t know anything about sex. I liked how has the book progressed she became more confident and started believing that she was worthy and she deserved more. I loved Mac through 95% of the book but there was a few things that he said that I think were out of line it would be very hard to forgive in real life. Overall I did enjoy this book but it wasn’t as amazing as my expectations thought it was going to be. I was a little disappointed that at the end the author decided to make Freya‘s character arc be that she lost a little weight.

Blindsided by Amy Daws a five-star read that you will not see coming
Blindsided by Amy Daws a five-star read that you will not see coming. I have only just started this one again as when it was first released, I just kept sobbing every time I picked it up as it is written by one of the nicest people I have ever met. I met Amy Daws at a signing this year and she was so nice to me even after I sobbed all over her. But that’s a different story and about a whole other novel, and it just adds more credence to the fact that Amy Daws can do no wrong with her witting. Freya Cook or Cookie as a devilishly handsome scots man likes to call her, is a woman after my own heart, and also body if I’m being truthful. This was a great story of a Love coach showing not only how to fall in to love but also maybe who to fall in love with? I know what you will find in this story, love and laughter and lots else that will surprise you. Do not miss this amazing story, as once again Amy Daws shows she writes gold.

By love!
Wow was I ever blindsided by this book. Freya is a Cornish girl who has become best friends with Mac, a Scottish football player. Their chance meeting at the place she works builds a great friendship. When Freya confesses she's still a virgin, Mac decides he's the one to take her virginity and they strike a friends with benefits deal. The humour and chemistry between them is addictive and the story takes a turn at one point where I'll admit to ugly crying, on public transport too! An utterly enchanting read where you can't help falling in love with the characters too!

Hilarious and Sexy
Loved Mac and Freya's story! Freya was absolutely hilarious and her insecurities were so damn relatable. We need more heroines like this, who aren't naturally skinny and gorgeous. I normally find friends to lovers can be a bit boring but these two were amazing. Their journey was hilarious, sexy and oh so funny. I did cry though at one part that I won't spoil. I mean proper ugly tears crying. Read this book and the rest of the series - you won't regret it! Can't wait for Replay now!
