Nice kit for beginners. Items are a bit cheaply made, but you can work with the well.

I bought this set for a friend who is interested in fruit carving. The set came on time. First of, the tools are VERY sharp. It came with everything that's in the picture. However, some of the tools are scratched, and don't look new, so I don't really know what's going on there. The orange scoop thing came with scratches on it, and so did the other knife with the yellow handle.Also, by the time it got to me, the pieces were kind of all over the place. But I'm just gonna blame that on shipping and handling. It seems like they were packaged fine.Overall, I'd recommend this product. Just expect a few scratches.Also, weird Chinese looking language on the front of the case.

tools will be kept in a tote instead of the case it was suppose to come in - zipper was shredded so trying to remove knives and other cutting tools from a half zipped case was less than pleasant. first thing ive purchased that i regret, possibly should have gone for the more expensive option

A simple manual or guide describing the tools and their use would have been nice. Out of the 80 pieces most are repeats in different sizes so a little illustrated manual shouldn't be that complicated. Very disappointed in opening kit with not a clue what I was looking at. Most people ordering this kit are not going to be master carvers , they will be regular folk as I that need a little direction. Also you get what you pay for and I did not expect quality for the price but chintzy quality plus no instruction whatsoever I did not welcome. Only order if you know something about what you are doing, then again folks that know what they are doing would most likely opt for better quality.
