Mini Wood Wheels Treaded Style, 2-3/4 Inch Diameter, Pack of 12, for Crafts and DIY Car Models, by Woodpeckers

The wheels are the perfect weight and diameter for my purpose. I cut 12” sections of 3/8” wooden dowels (the hole diameter), added a cup hook on one side and cut a groove on the other, added the wheel (I didn’t glue it as it is a fairly snug fit) and made drop spindles for hand-spinning wool. They will be perfect for teaching the basics of spinning, as they are easy to make and inexpensive.

The center hole is larger than the 3/8" specified. It is enough larger so that you can't glue the wheel to a 3/8" axle, and the wheel wobbles if left loose. My solution was to drill the holes out to 7/16" and glue the wheels to a 7/16" dowel. The toy has a 15/32 hole through for the axle to turn inside.

I bought wheels and axels to build a car with my son. Stupid company should be clear about matching sizes so you don't end up getting mis matches like I did. Great product, put a little care into your descriptions because nobody is using these without wheels imho.

just what I needed to complete the wood construction dump truck I am making for my grandson. Had to contact customer service regarding slight problem with order but concern was quickly resolved. I would order from Woodpeckers for future crafting needs.

I would like to have had the mounting pins in wood provided as part of the purchase. I used a plastic sleeve and big head wood screw to attach to the body of the model car made.

I build larger scale wood vintage model cars and these 2-3/4” diameter wood wheels are perfection my needs. They’re well crafted and are easily paintable whether it’s with acrylic paints or spray. I highly recommend these and I’ll definitely continue to get them for my future projects.

these wheels are not 2 and 3/4 as advertised they are dual wheels but ate only two inches had them delivered twice and same both times I will assume (shame on me) that because they asked for a review with the same item description that even tho they said they would get this fixed they did not. Now with that said they are great quality tires and I kept them for other projects even tho originally I was going to return them
