We've waiting a really long time fo this book - well worth it.
Just like many other die hard readers of Lisa Kelypas, I have been waiting for so long for the fourth Travis story. As usual Ms Kleypas hasn't disppointed. Joe, the youngest Travis son was just as perfect as his two older brothers. The interation and dialogue between Joe and Avery was well written and you could read them falling in love. There were some funny moments in the book especially the TV show featuring Avery. It was great to meet up with the rest of the Travis and although it has been stated that this is the fourth and final installment of the Travis family I am really hoping that Ryan get his story.

Dreamboat Joe gets the girl in style
** spoiler alert ** Aww, the last of the Travis lads get hitched (darn it, I wanted one for myself!)... Joe is a dreamboat (not unlike his brothers) and Avery Crosslin is a sweetie - a smart and savvy wedding planner with a few relationship insecurities caused by being jilted at the altar herself a few years before (oh, the irony!). Seeing them get their Happy Ever After was full of sexy times and snappy dialogue and some great glimpses of the other couples - Gage and Liberty, Haven and Hardy, Jack and Ellie - wound into the narrative. As an end to the series it was a fun, fast read for me, but not my favourite, perhaps because there didn't seem to be an awful lot pulling these two apart - other than Avery's insane reluctance to commit to this gorgeous man, and a hard-to-resist job offer... I also wasn't that keen on the portrayal of the bride whose wedding Avery is working on being such a mean, rich, entitled brat... I'm sure these women exist but that character and her heinous bitch of a mother were both just a bit too one-dimensional for me, becoming like pantomime villains. That said, these are minor quibbles, I had no problem hoovering up the story.... I'll miss the Travises!

Read it for Joe
If you haven't read any of the Travis stories then I'd strongly recommend reading them in order before reading this one. And to be honest in terms of their ratings they kind of decline after the first two books. I loved Sugar Daddy and Blue Eyed Devil. The female leads were sassy, intelligent, well considered and both books had very strong plots. This is an easy and fairly enjoyable read but it's nothing like the first two or even as good as Smooth talking stranger, which is a disappointment.I downloaded it as I was excited to read Joe's story, especially given what happens in book three, but this just didn't really come together. Joe is lovely, but compared to Gage, Hardy and Jack, he's almost too nice and I didn't really get the instant attraction to Avery. The writing never really expands enough on him to explain why he'd be so interested in her so quickly. As for Avery, at times she just annoying! I didn't like the way she messed around at the beginning, and how long it went on for - it just became childish. It I also became a bit boring to read to be honest. The whole book felt a bit rushed. I think it is much shorter than earlier Travis stories and so the speed at which the attraction and relationship between the two built wasn't as believable as it should have been.So what was good? I really liked Steven as a character and although I found Sophia a bit odd at times, especially the 'ex' scene, which was an awful way to crash the plot together, the chemistry between the two was more exciting that between Joe and Avery. Wish we'd had a bit more of them.I've given this three stars but really it's more like a 2.5

Short and sweet
This book has felt like a long time coming and I am a little bit disappointed if I'm honest ,it had all the right Ingredients bit just did not seem to flow as well as the other books in the series .I also felt it was ridiculously over priced and had I not read the others I probably would have give it a miss just for that .

Nice addition to the series
Somehow not as vivid as the first book in the series, but still a very good read. Liked the curvy, unconfident female protagonist.

A 3.5 star pleasant read but not as good as the first three Travis books
I did enjoy this book overall, although I agree with other reviewers that it's nowhere near as good as the first three books in this quartet. It's hard to pin down exactly why it's not as good. The H, Joe, is still a gorgeous alpha hottie like the other Travis men (and Hardy), but we don't learn a lot about him in this book. I think my main problem is with the h, Avery. Her occupation, which she seems to be pretty good at, is a wedding planner. But sadly I've got almost zero interest in wedding planning, and the huge OTT weddings she works on in the book just seem a ridiculous waste of money to me. And then she gets a chihuahua with no teeth. Oh, please....... that was almost the last straw for me :(Avery seems too weak and indecisive, and I found this pretty frustrating. The author did show her background and why she was the way she was. But overall I didn't connect with her and I couldn't really see what the wonderful Joe saw in her. He was way too good for her IMO. Their relationship didn't feel real, and their connection seemed to be lacking. However having said all that, the book wasn't a total bust. It was great to catch up with the Travis family again, to be in their fictional world. And I did enjoy some sections of Joe and Avery's story. I just felt overall the story was lacking and not up to Ms Kleypas' usual high standards.

It was worth the long wait
I have to say that I have waited a very long time for this book in the Travis family to come out and it was worth the wait. So happy I got to catch up on the rest of the family. Joe is such a sweetheart and Avery is a independent and smart woman. If you are a fan of the other books in the series, you will not be disappointed.

The Travis Add More To Their Wonderful Family
I love the Travis series by Lisa Kleypas and I was so thrilled to find there was going to be a book for Joe. I felt a little jipped that we got to read about Gage and Liberty, Haven and Hardy, and Jack and Ella but not Joe. These books are wonderful, deep, emotional, and have so many things going on in them. I still re-read these books from time to time and it is like catching up with an old friend. Avery Crosslin and her sister Sophia have a wedding planning business and they are rising stars in Houston society. During a wedding that she and her sister planned, she meets Joe Travis and she mistakes him for a wedding photographer.Avery believes in love but doesn't think it is something that is meant for her. She and her sister Sophia are half sisters that share the same father. He loved to get married but he didn't seem to believe in monogamy and broke many people's hearts. Also, Avery was left at the alter by her ex-boyfriend/ex-fiance. She is instantly attracted to Joe Travis but doesn't think he is meant for her. He's wealthy, he's charming, and she thinks they come from totally different worlds. She's also planning a wedding that she doesn't really believe in or think will last but she doesn't want to turn a great opportunity down. There is also another opportunity upon the horizon that could take her away from Houston and back to New York City.Joe comes from a close knit family. He's the youngest of the siblings and for many years he and Churchill didn't have much of a relationship. But luckily they mended their relationship before Churchill died. He's a talented and wonderful photographer. He does so many good deeds and always helping others. He and his family do not think they are better than others because they are wealthy. He knows what he wants and he doesn't let anyone stand in the way, even Avery. He knows there is something about her and he is so drawn to her. He works hard to get passed her walls and show her that there are so many wonderful things to her.Definitely worth reading.
