Power Up Your Solar Game! ☀️
This Solar Cable features MC4 connectors and a robust 10 AWG copper conductor with 19 strands, designed for photovoltaic applications. Rated for 1000 VDC, it boasts tough XLPE insulation, making it suitable for both wet and dry locations while ensuring sunlight resistance.

Works Perfectly (with a *slight* modification...)
Got this for a 100 watt solar panel for "dry camping". I only wanted one cable instead of two because I could cut it in half & leave the MC4 connectors on the other ends to connect to the panel that already have MC4 leads, & connect the bare ends to a 12 volt automotive quick disconnect, & the other quick disconnect to the MPPT controller. I twisted (braided if you will) the two wires together like a power cable wrapped around a steel braided cable on a telephone pole coming to your house, to make it "one" cable. 25 feet of cable is plenty of length from the solar panel to my tent. It feeds a 35 amp hour deep cycle solar battery, which will be plenty of power for lights, cellphone recharging, (probably my tablet too when I get bored after dark), & a 12 volt fan for those hot humid nights out in the middle of nowhere! As much as I camp, this solar generator setup will save me the costs of campsite electricity charges over & over, & pay for itself many times over in the coming years.

The wire itself is great 50 foot length gave me two 25 foot cords ...
Connectors work, but putting the connectors on the cable is a pain. I cut the wire in half to have both a positive and negative wire for my solar panel, and attached two new connectors. The wire itself is great 50 foot length gave me two 25 foot cords to run out my solar panels. I can store the cord with the solar panel or stuff them in the battery compartment. Managed to trip over the cord once and the connector plug pulled out, was able to push the metal prong back in and it seated without any problem. The connectors are a little difficult to pull apart, so if your going to be disconnecting them all the time that might be an issue. Overall very clean looking set of wires, which look like they can handle the elements for outdoor installations.

Have survived a winter unscathed.
All the items I bought to place a solar system on the ski pod of our van have worked well through a summer and winter. If I were going to do another installation of a similar nature, I'd go once again with the same parts. It seems worth it to spend the extra on a mono-crystalline system with the better and higher capacity controller. I did buy the computer interface cable from China and tried it. The cable seemed faulty and the software looked primitive, so did not end up using that option, the remote meter seems to be enough.

Very good cable, but only 25 feet long when used!
Can't be beat for the price. For a small 12 volt panel array or a larger 24 volt array, the wire thickness (10 awg rating) is adequate to prevent some losses over longer runs. Just realize that this is one wire, not the usual 2 strand cable like an extension cord. Therefore, you cut it in the middle, and get your 2 strands to connect panels to your controller, but it is only 25 feet long!! Use the ends with the attached connectors to connect to the male and female connectors on your PV panels, then use the bare ends to wire into your controller. A great product, as long as you realize it's only 25 feet long when cut in half!

The thick stuff!
Notice this is 10AGW wire not 12agw!I think 10agw is good for 30 amps and 12agw is good for 20 ampsSolar panels make a lotta amperage but, not much Power or rather watts. With the voltage drop for load and length of wire to my Grid inverter I average 15 voltsSo, keep in mind watts law says; 300 watts at 15 volts is 20amps 450 watts at 15 volts is 30ampsSee my counter part comments for the actual stats

Cable OD might be a problem
I bought this cable to run extensions from my array to a plastic termination box mounted underneath. The box will have a waterproof gland to accept this PV wire. Unfortunately the OD of this cable is 6.7mm, which is an odd size. I'm finding glands sized for 5.5mm and 7.6mm cables, but no sizes in between. Minor issue but it'd be nice to have the proper fit.

Nice Harness
This 50 foot harness is exactly what I needed because I cut it in half giving me two 25 foot cables one having the male end and the other having the female end. The cut ends will go directly to my charge controller and the MC4 connected ends will go to my two parallel branch connected solar panels. The seller was helpful updating their shipping to include Armed Forces addresses. I am very pleased with the product and seller.

cable upgrade
Arrived early. Packaged ok. Larger diameter cables and protective covering than other cables I've purchased prior to these. Hand written note in package thanking me for purchase and left a # to call if problems or questions , that was a nice touch . I'm sure I will use again

Good
Got one of these for my garage solar panel system. Split it up in two and took 4' off the end of each to connect controller to battery (no need to buy additional cable); just twisted the wires in the stripped ends, no need for grimping/soldering. That leaves a pair of 21' cables (with original end fittings intact) for connecting solar panel to the controller. Perfect. Would buy again.
