Wrecked by a parakeet in three days!
Upon opening the box, I thought this would be a great toy for my four budgies in their new, huge cage. I didn't mind so much that there was no easy way to attach it to the top of the cage - a little cord ingenuity and it was all set, and the birds took turns playing on it and pecking the straw covering. I would have gladly given this four or five stars except for the fact that it was poorly made. Just three days after I hung it in their cage, the center portion (with the large lightweight plastic balls) crashed to the bottom and fell apart. I couldn't believe it - large balls and marble-sized spheres scattered everywhere. The rest of the toy remains intact and hanging still, but it's now wobbly and a lot less engaging to my birds. My parakeets are small, and have with plenty of other toys to play with, and I know they couldn't have wrecked a well-made toy in only a couple of days! It's a nice-looking toy, with lots of attractive baubles for birds, but unfortunately it falls apart.

It took awhile for my African Grey to like this toy
It took awhile for my African Grey to like this toy. That is not uncommon for Greys but I played with it, ringing the bell...and she loves it now. It is a good toy. It will entertain her for years. That makes me happy. A less sensitive bird would probably take to it immediately. Great toy.😃Update: 2/2/2017Well, it did not last long. My African Grey actually undid the ends and beads went everywhere. I made sure I cut the strings off as she demolished it so she wouldn't get strings wrapped around her neck. Now, all that is left is the middle piece, 4 wicker balls. She still loves it. She likes chewing on the wicker balls and she likes the bell. I am still glad I got this toy. She was pretty pleased with herself, undoing the strings on the outside...but she enjoyed herself.

Cockatiel approved
My cockatiel is a destructive chewer who could outdo a parrot 5x his size. When I first purchased this I was unsure it would be something he liked, or if it would withstand him. It's worked wonders for him. As the center wicker balls are chewed the rest fall downward. He loves the bell and swinging the walnut beads.Pros: Great for birds who love to chew - there is a lot to destroy. It's colorful, has a bell, and will entertain many birds. If destroyed, some of the parts can be used to keep a chewer entertained - for example, if the string holding the wicker balls gets cut by your bird's beak, he or she will still enjoy destroying the wicker balls.Cons: the central 4 wicker balls are held by a small string - large birds may cut this right away. It's large and requires a large cage. We used a bread tie to secure it to the top, but some might find the hanging system unsatisfactory.

LARGE and Stylish
Ok. First thing: this is a LOT bigger than I anticipated. Although it's almost as tall at the cage for my lovebird, she really seems to like it. It has a lot going for it and the colors look nice. She runs up and town and loved playing with all aspects of it.One of the best parts about this toy is the bell. It is loud enough for her to want to play with it, but it doesn't have an annoying pitch for MY ear.So, while this tow works best for a larger parrot, my little one seems to enjoy it just as much.A caution: with a larger bird, be sure to keep an eye on the beads and bell parts. If they break off, it could be a potential hazard.

Parrot disintegrated it with joy- not cheap, but a worthy smile
Drake (girlfriend's bright green Senegal parrot of 18 years) loved it so much he took it apart within a day, but she put it back together for him twice before it was completely work out. That bird is special to her and me, so it's worth it as a birdy holiday gift.I think he still plays with the remains of this.

The center of the toy was great for her
I have a young Eclectus. The center of the toy was great for her, however the strings on the outside were not. They are only attached by one knot. It took her about 5 minutes to have all of them untied and beads and walnuts everywhere. However the center is holding up very well to her playful nature.

the small thin strings were all wrapped around his poor neck. He was basically being hung
DO NOT BUY!!! Your bird could DIE! Please be VERY CAREFUL!!!!! I opened the cage door for my Cockatoo and when he did not come out as usual I went and looked at him. I WAS HORRIFIED!!! the small thin strings were all wrapped around his poor neck. He was basically being hung! Please DO NOT BUY this. It is so dangerous. My husband had to act quickly and cut the strings from around his neck. I was so upset!

Not great for African Grey
So my CAG was too smart for this toy. I know it's smallish for a Grey but mine likes his toys easily destroyable. Unfortunately, this one was TOO easy. It took him a minute to chew the bottom of each string so the beads and nuts just slipped down the strings and fell to the floor of his cage. He had no interest in chewing the top either. He ruined it for himself. Would have been fun to chew if the bottoms were more secure.
