Quicker & Easier Than Boiling Water
I like how quick & easy this product is to use for most hotdogs I buy. Also, I can wash it in my dishwasher whereas my pots have to be washed by hand. I'd recommend this product.

Works surprisingly well
This product has two primary advantages. First of all, it saves you the trouble of wrapping hot dogs in a paper towel for the microwave, which in turn gets rid of cleaning up the microwave afterwards. Secondly, it cooks the hot dogs a great deal better via steam than the microwave itself, no more burnt edges or explosions, and it cooks them in more than half the time.The only thing I feel you should be aware of, the two halves do not "lock" securely while closed, presumably in order to let some steam escape during cooking to avoid an explosion. This isn't really an issue, but be careful to keep it held together tightly when handling it full of water to avoid spills. The two halves can also be effortlessly separated to make cleaning easier if necessary.Highly recommended, worth the asking price.

Steams your wiener
My wiener was all wrinkled and disheveled. I placed my wiener in this steamer and Voila! No more wrinkles. Almost too easy. Bonus - It'll steam your brats too.

Mis-information
The description says it is for hot dogs up to 8" long. This is wrong. A Costco hot dog is 8" and it is too long to fit in the device. You have to take off about an inch or so to make it fit. Mis-information. I am going to keep the product because it does work fairly well.

Replacing an old friend.
I've had a Nordic Ware microwave hot dog/sausage cooker for many years and the old one just worn out from so many uses (at least 10 years). Hot Dog/Sausage juice will eventually kill us all, so it took its toll on the old girl.So i happened across this newer model and decide to retire the old one.The new one has a cover and seems to be made as sturdy as the old one. Works great and cleans just as easy.Here's to many happy hot dogs in my future! (With mustard AND KETCHUP! ------ FIGHT!!!!! 😉)

Excellent piece of kitchen kit,
This works really well, not sure about the spikes, in my experience you want to keep all the juices in the sausage but that's only a minor niggle, you cannot find a hot dog microwave cooker in the uk, at least I have not been able to find one, this will only take a 6inch dog, a bit of a shame as a lot of the really good German dogs are around 9inches long, but this will do the fat Herta dogs just fine.Very pleased with this.

steams pre-cooked kransky or hot dogs in the microwave oven.
Alright for steaming pre-cooked kransky or hotdogs. Not really suitable for cooking raw sausages.

Work well
This steamer works well and is much more convenient that steaming the hot dogs in a tray of water. Cooks the dogs in no time.
