I’m a complete novice at repairing anything and even I found these easy to use. Hoses are expensive, I’m delighted I found these so I don’t have to replace them as the connections all seem to leak over time even after replacing the rubber gaskets. I would recommend you measure the size of your hoses though… I thought all of mine are “standard” (this size) but I had several that are a smaller diameter and had to get a different set for those. My only caveat is the hose clamps have a “tail” when tightened that sticks out but if you have the right tools I’m sure you can cut them off. Overall a great purchase!!!

Use a 7mm Socket on the clamps. I bought these several times and keep 1 pack (3 male and female sets) on hand at all times. We have a farm and a lot of exposed garden hose that gets run over, mowed over, etc. These are quick and easy for mending an existing length of hose or a good end replacement if you need to create a different length hose and already have the hose.

(I’d rate this a 4.5 if I could.) I bought this hose-repair kit to fix a huge hole that developed in my new hose. It worked well to fix the hose (approximately 99.5% effective — it leaks a teeny tiny bit, but not enough to bother me). The kit worked great! It saved me from spending MUCH more $ on a new hose.Other PROS: several repair kits are included in this package, so I’m set for a while should another hose develop leaks — it’s comforting to know I can fix any new leaks immediately. The price was great, and the kit can fix holes both in the middle of the hose as well as near the metal end. It was fast & easy to assemble onto the hose (after I figured it out…see Cons.)CONS: (why I didn’t rate it 5 stars) are that instructions didn’t come with the kit, & the repair kit I watched on YouTube was assembled differently, so I had to figure out how to use Amazon’s kit by trial & error. (Fortunately that didn’t take me long, though! It was fairly easy, considering I’m a novice with yard tools.) I repaired the metal screw-in section (the end) of my hose, & it does leak a tiny bit, so keep that in mind if that’d bother you (as mentioned, it didn’t bother me because the leak is so slight. Hopefully it won’t get worse over time, but so far so good.). Finally, the flat metal part that gets tightened around the hose is rather long, & it sticks out after screwing the kit into the hose, getting in the way of my hand when trying to hold the hose steady. I couldn’t see a way to cut off that extra, but perhaps a good metal cutter would work; I just didn’t have such a tool. I pushed the part sticking up down as flat as I could instead, & that is working OK except for when my fingers/gloves etc caught on it, but that happens only occasionally.Overall, definitely a great product; again, I’d rate it 4.5 stars if I could (higher than only the 4 stars I was able to give it). I would buy this product again.
