EMSA450151200 Micro Family microwave dish 1.5 litres, white

This microwave dish looks really nice and easy to use when you receive it and it has a good capacity of 2.5 litres, however, it is not durable when used in a microwave. I made a beautiful curry and after cooking it for approximately 30 - 40 minutes, I took it out of the microwave a couple of times to stir and check that the curry was thickening up nicely. I was shocked to find the when I took it out of the microwave towards the end of the cooking time to find that the lid on the dish had melted into my curry dish.I have tried complaining to the company but I have not received even a reply from them. My advice, choose a different dish and certainly, a different company.

I thought this was a good product, good size and easy to use. Dishwasher proof as well. However, I have only used it 3 or 4 times and the lid Has melted onto the base even though I had not sealed the lid only rested it on top of the bowl.

Well made quality item at a good price, suffers from the lack of a vent in the lid. I used the lid inverted as suggested by the manufacturer, which sadly does not prevent liquids spilling over the edges of the bowl during cooking, so you need to be selective for the items you cook in it, I did not find it suitable for small quantities of rice, even at moderate temperatures for a few minutes.

The container is substantial and not flimsy plastic but the cream colour stains with everything cooked in it - carrots, tomatoes etc. So not as good as I’d hoped.

My favourite container ever! I use it to heat up left over rice, the lid is used upside down when reheating to ensure an even heat distribution. This is made of solid plastic and will last me a long time.
