I lost my diamond ear ring!!! I was in a hurry and threw on my backpack. Little did I know that my backpack brushed my ear, and my diamond was gone. Luckily, a worker found my it. In order to prevent this from happening again, I purchased this product. It is flat against the ear and it has a release in order to remove it. Now, I am not worried about them flying off again. Very good value for the product.

I recently noticed my mother in law was missing her diamond earrings. She mentioned that she lost the back so she wasn't able to wear them. I thought I would help her out and order this 4 pk of locking 18k gold plated backs. They seem to be made well. They are sort of like tiny round discs with squeeze points on each side that you have to hold to get your earring post in. The backing will then lock in around the post and the backing is secure. You do need to make sure you have atleast 1 notch in your post so that the backing has something to sort of catch on. Otherwise I assume they could slip off with a tug or the pull of a shirt going over your head. So far they seem to be working well. I gave 2 backs to my mil and I kept 2 for myself. They arent irritating her skin so that a big plus. If we end up needing more I would buy again. They come in a cute plastic box that displays them well.

So I spent $50 like 3xs for those chrysmela backs. They are good except after awhile they break and loosen too much and I lost 3!!! Earrings 3 different timrs. So I decided to try these. Well, thy hold my earrings comfortably and problem solved cheap. I dont know how long they will last but for $14 compared to $50 I'll be good with it as long as I dont loose anymore earrings.The only complaint is they are difficult to press in to open the tiny grabber but you do get used to how and it gets easier as times goes.I would recommend these for anyone looking to lock in earrings, not spend too much $ and can handle getting used to how these work.So here is the update years later...... these originals are still working just not as 'solid' but this is expected after years of daily use PLUS I sleep with my earrings and these backs so yes this design is worth the price. And if you are thinking of buy more than 1 as I did (gold and silver) I would agree. The bearing construction inside these backs are very very good. Plus this helps with my overstretched earring hole by keeping my earrings in place to match the height of the other side..Well worth it and the only backs I now use!

These earring backs are well designed.

My husband bought me some diamond studs from Kay Jewelry’s for Valentines Day. A couple days after wearing them I noticed one earring was about to fall out, the back completely broke. I ordered these and they haven’t moved. Now I feel secured enough to wear my earrings out. It was a little hard getting on but worth the small struggle.
