MAKE Cosmetics Face Gloss

I decided to return this product because it's a bit too sticky and heavy feeling on my face, almost as if I'd just applied a clear lip gloss to my face, seriously. Applying it very sparingly does sort of solve that problem, so I did consider keeping the product for stage wear, but decided not to after I did a little experiment. I put a swipe of fractionated coconut oil on my left cheekbone and collarbone, and a swipe of the Make face shine on my right cheekbone and collarbone. The shine level was almost exactly the same on both sides! And the fractionated coconut oil felt so much lighter, and looked more natural, especially on my 50-ish face. Considering that even the highest quality fractionated coconut oil is only a tiny fraction of the price, per ounce, of this Make face shine, I'd suggest just buying yourself some fractionated coconut oil, which can be used for a zillion different purposes. That being said, not sure how well fractionated coconut oil would work over various types of face makeup, as I was comparing the two over bare skin. In theory at least, this Make product is supposed to work well over makeup too. I didn't try it that way. I did try it on my bare eyelids but it felt kind of gross and didn't really look shiny, perhaps because my lids are a bit hooded. I also tried the Make face shine worn over powder eye shadow. and then blended with powder eye shadow. But both ways, it just made an awful mess when used with eye shadows.

I am only giving this product three stars because it seems overpriced for what it delivers. It does make my face more "dewy" looking, but probably a dab of vaseline watered down a bit might create the same effect.

I like this product. I stay in Ohio where we have harsh winter. No matter what you apply on face, the skin gets dry quickly and looks pathetic. I apply a pinch of this product on my cheeks and T zone on the face and it adds a luminous youthful glow. Loved it.

Rad! Just received it and it was EXACTLY what I was looking for! It's a thick gloss kinda gel, perfect for recreating looks you see in magazines. I seriously can't wait to wear it! Also, I had never heard of this brand before, so super excited for a new brand!

Works, but very sticky. Not sure if I like that sticky feeling on my face. Does give you a dewy look. If you use too much looks shiny.

Great face gloss. Adds a nice glow. If you have oily skin and like a matte look, obviously don't by this. I have normal/dry skin and love a dewy look. This is great for every-day no makeup looks! Must have and lasts a while

stickier than expected - requires delicate hand

I just got this in the mail today and I love it! It was just what I was looking for. The face gloss gives a nice dewy glow and is long lasting. The bottle was a little smaller than expected but a little goes a long way.
