Not sure why Klein makes it because they primarily make tools for electricians, and we ALL know them sparkies don’t use those!! Lol!!Great laser level for running pipe!!!

I am a big fan of Klein tools, and it's almost exclusively what I use.Upon arrival, the mounting base that comes with the level was defective. One of the two bolts used to level the plate was not threaded correctly, and could only go two turns before getting jammed in the socket (I tested both leveling bolts in both of the screw holes and verified it was the bolt). The bolts themselves are not any standard imperial size (Checked against closest sizes 10x24, 10x32, & 1/4x20) so it is not easy to replace.After a few days of use, the laser stopped working correctly. I found the issue to be that the contactor in button was defective and the laser would only come on if I pressed the button well past it's stationary point of being clicked in the "on" position.For $60 I expected FAR more from Klein, and hope I do not see more products like this from them in the future. They can do MUCH better than something like this.

Well made torpedo level with a bonus
This level is well made and quite heavy. The laser line works well for some quick checks, but it's not really a replacement for a good self leveling line laser and tripod. Still it has it's use cases, for example I use it to quickly run around and check window/door heads for level to see if I can use jigs for marking out (need level head) or if I need to drag out the tripod and laser line level. Also, the vials cannot be used when the level is on it's side to produce a plumb line. While the vials are there, the line is so far out of plumb that I don't believe it is an intended use of the LBL100.
