Works very well
After watching a Great Courses video on staying fit as you age one suggestion was to use this as a desk/computer chair and I have been doing so now for nearly a month. It works great. And it lets me swivel around to loosen hips and shoulders while sitting some time. The pump that comes with it is ok but it will take a lot of pumping to get this fully inflated so I used the pump I use for tire inflation and even that took a while. But following instructions (wetting the plug) I have not found that it deflated at all after first inflated it. Does tend to roll but am able to lodge just under the lip of desk to keep in place. It is far more comfortable to use than I expected although it does take a little getting used to vs a chair. I did a lot of research of reviews before deciding on this one. Some of those had arms, some a back and some on casters but in the end decided that this was actually better for my use and so far that has proved to be the case.

Comfortable and fun
I got this for my office chair. I sit alot throughout the day working on my computer. My old chair was hurting my back and my bum. Since I inflated and started using this chair I've had no back or bum soreness. Big bonus, this ball is sooooo fun to sit on. I bounce around all day and love it. I did cover it with a fuzzy blanket, because I wear dresses and don't like the feel of the rubber on the back of my legs. The blanket made it a soft fuzzy feel instead. Once your sitting on it you can't adjust how close or far away you are from the desk top. Oh.. and it's not very graceful looking getting on and off the ball in my dresses.

too short for desk
I'm only 5'4". I have blown it up and up and up trying to get it taught enough to use, but it's just too flexible to use at table. If you sit on it, it expands out of the sides and you sink too far to sit at a table. Just seems better for exercise, but for what it is advertised to use.

Good quality, but size is misleading.
The Good:Good quality material. Seems to hold up nicely whether for longer sitting periods or use for various exercises.Pump was easy to use to inflate the ball, and it holds pressure perfectly. The Bad:Size is misleading. I filled this up to the maximum pressure I felt comfortable going to, and it tops out at 24" diameter. Not 25-29". 1-5" doesn't sound like a lot, but it makes this impossible to use at a normal height desk. Still usable for workouts and stretches, but I felt I needed to document the misrepresented size for anyone who might want to use this at a desk.

It squeaks like a dog toy
The low review is mainly because of the pump that comes with the ball. I filled it up at the office because getting it into the office already inflated would be too cumbersome. Well I got to work, unpackaged it, and started pumping.... It squeaks like a dog toy! Everyone was laughing at me, it was pretty funny actually. I could have put up with that if it hadn't broken completely half way through inflating my chair. I brought a pump in from home today to see if it would work but it still wouldn't fully inflate so I don't know if it will be tall enough for my desk. I'll keep trying to find a pump that works for another week or two, but if I can't then I'm sending the whole thing back. EDIT: I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 stars. I ended up buying a metal frame because it is still a bit short (I'm only 5'4") and it came with a pump. It seems to be a quality ball and I haven't had a problem with it deflating at all. It's very comfortable and definitely helps my posture, it may take some getting used to but stick it out because it really is worth it! I like that it comes in silver since most others I looked at are too colorful to belong in a professional setting. Just make sure you buy a different pump....

Not for hobbit sized people -- 100% Awesome
So, let me start off by saying that this is FOR SURE not meant for people who are 5'3" or shorter. I bought this originally to replace my office chair, and let me tell you. I fell off this thing more than a drunk white girl on a bar top. My legs were physically too short to touch the floor while sitting on the top. Also, it's a ball, so I was doing all kinds of stretches and made up yoga at my desk which was very counter productive. Not a manufacturing problem at all; that one is on me. Even to STRADDLE this ball, I'm talking full on crab walk sitting on this ball, my legs still refused to touch the ground. Ultimately to spare myself further harm and bruised legs/butt cheeks I had to throw this magnificent bouncing ball into my home gym and now use to watch TV on, do my core workouts on, and to scare the hell out of my dogs.Would 10/10 recommend for normal sized people to use as a desk chair, however those of us who are hobbit sized I would only recommend gym use.

Cheap and you can tell.
I have to say that so far this ball seems to be working but with 0 instructions of information it is hard to know how much you should blow this ball up. So I have been inflating it. Sitting on it then inflating it more till it "felt" right. Not exactly the best way to insure it lasts. The ball feels like cheap material and I am not convinced it will last very long. While it is only $20, I would recommend going with a higher quality one that may cost a bit more because in the long run it will probably be cheaper.

This is a good, sturdy ball for using as a chair
This is a good, sturdy ball for using as a chair. The material is a little "sticky"which keeps it from moving around like a regular exercise ball. It's also adjustable in size (depending on how much you inflate it). Customer service by Thneed was excellent. When we received the package, we didn't realized that instructions for inflating the ball had arrived by email the previous day, so we didn't know to remove the plug before using the pump to inflate it. We emailed customer service and they responded right away after we contacted them, and re-sent the instructions with apologies, even though it was OUR fault! They even gave us a credit, which was unnecessary. This is a great product for the price.
