A fabulous read for more advanced readers, 8+. The brightest students in my Grade 2/3 class loved the story and understood the concepts in the story.

This is another excellent book by Michael Morpurgo.About a young boy who lost his father in the war and his friendship with a chimpanzee, I am reading this to my son a chapter at a time, we have not yet finished the book, but you go chapter to chapter wanting to hear more...he is just 7 and loving the story.I can recommend Michael Morpurgo books - we have read, so many of his books - and they have all been loved we are starting again with our youngest son.Age range from 6-11 yrs - the younger age may require you to read it to them (depending on ability) but they can grow into reading this for themselves.

Another great book from Michael Morpurgo. My child is 8 years old and has the reading ability of a 11 year old ,these books allow him to use his imagination in more ways then the school allows. Its highly important that in the changing world that we are in , we are doing more and more education with our children at home now ( a down fall with the schools).I order a lot of books and are happy to report that the service I have been given is very high in receiving the goods in a timely manner.
