Exact dupe for Hourglass Veil!
I’ve been using the hourglass mineral veil primer for almost 10 years now, but have always disliked the price. I’d wait for 20% off coupons and then buy the 2oz bottle from sephora, but even still it was so pricey. I also wished it had mode SPF, especially for our blazing summers in the south.I’ve been testing out supposed dupes for quite some time and never found anything even remotely close. I tried the elf mineral primer, Clinique, Peter Thomas Roth, nyx angel veil, and a number of others. Nothing matched well enough. Finally I stumbled upon this product completely by accident and decided to give it a try. I wasn’t confident that it would be a winner for me, but boy am I glad to be wrong in this case! Admittedly, the formula does have a rather offputting scent to it when dispensed, but I’ve found that the scent disappears as you apply it and doesn’t linger. The formula feels exactly like the hourglass veil does- extremely silky and smooth as you apply it. It has the same ultra-white shade when dispensed, but blends into invisibility the same as the hourglass. I haven’t been photographed with a flash while wearing this yet, but I don’t imagine it would show a cast if I did- it’s no heavier on the skin than the hourglass stuff and that has never given me any cast in photos. I imagine it might if too much was applied or if it wasn’t blended out well enough.I love that it has double the spf compared to hourglass, but without feeling heavy or greasy on my face- as all the other brands I tried did. I have dinner plate sized pores near my nose and this blurred them just as well as the hourglass. It wore well throughout the day, didn’t add any oiliness that I noticed. My makeup applied well over it, just the same as with the hourglass veil. The price on this is still a little higher than I’d like, but it’s unarguably much cheaper than the hourglass. I added this to my subscribe and save and was able to get it for 10% off, which helps. This I my new holy grail sunscreen and primer, here’s hoping they never discontinue it!

My holy grail! Better than Hourglass!
I just received this over the weekend. This is better than Hourglass and a bit cheaper too. It's not inexpensive, by any stretch, but it is exactly what I've been looking for. It has the barest of shimmer to it - not glitter but light reflecting pigments. It goes on very smooth and you just need a little for good coverage. I definitely only needed to do a bit of spot concealing over this. For some, on a good skin day, this may be enough to wear alone. I had tried SuperGoop (photosensitivity allergic reaction to the citrus oils and their CC cream made my skin very dry and aged with a few days of use), Bobbi Brown, Boots No.7, Sonia Kashuk, Pixi by Petra and Suntegrity 5 in 1 Moisturizing facial sunscreen (greasy and super shiny necessitating a ton of powder). For a number of reasons each of these gave me problems. This primer has them all beat! It creates a smooth and filtered canvas for just a bit of foundation on a concealer brush to hide any problem areas. Due to the mineral content I did apply extra moisturizer and let this soak in before applying the Coola primer. If you're a no/little makeup girl, I highly recommend this!

Random shimmer in it? Still a good primer
Didn't add any extra hydration to my already dry skin, so I add a decent moisturizer underneath. It didn't dry out my skin anymore though, and kept my makeup from slipping for most of the day since I hydrate extra. This doesn't make my skin feel slimy like silicone based primers, and doesn't dry me out either. It has some tiny sparkle in it though, that I can see on my hands after it's been rubbed into my face that is NOT noticable in the bottle. This is obvious synthetic in some way and I honestly don't remember reading to expect it. I tried capturing the shimmer in the pictures, it's not doing a great job. So that's why I knocked it down a star. No funky scent either. I will use up the bottle!

I really like the product but the pump stopped working after the third time I used it. I played with it , worked a couple more times, now I’m just digging it out of the bottle. It’s a glass bottle and a lot of product I can’t get at. For $42, I was disappointed.

but I didn't feel like it clogged my pores
I wear it by itself and Sunday was the first time I wore it under foundation. I applied it thinly and let it dry on my face.It helped my makeup go on smoothly with no peeling, and in hot humid weather it was a little mistiness, but I didn't feel like it clogged my pores. I like that it has spf in it.

Loved...except for the container😕
I loved the way the primer. I am 62 years old and loved the way this product made my face feel! The only negative after using about 3/4s of the bottle, the pump wouldn't work. I got the primer out with a Q-tip...not ideal.

Coola's best product in my opinion
This is really a nice product. It goes on velvety soft without any greasy feeling whatsoever and makes my creamy makeup look less shiny by the end of the day. I often wear just this with a mineral makeup powder on top and my skin feels soft when I remove it at bedtime.

Love it! Really primes your skin if you have large pores and creates a smooth finish for foundation.
