Tastes like butter, cooks up like butter - OK it is... We still prefer Kroger brand for it's sweetness. 12oz = 3 sticks of butter equivalent... meaning this is EXPENSIVE butter, if you get it, you'd better keep it in a cool space, or it's gonna turn. We made the mistake of trying it & leaving it on the counter (covered) for a few days, the flavor noticeably changed, and it started separating & lumping? Never seen that before - refrigerate it, it's fine otherwise. If we enter into a 'hard to find groceries' scenario, we'll be glad to have real butter - and this will be it. Just another thing in the pantry to keep us going through difficult times, glad to have it on-hand!

Butter tastes rancid. But But had I known I would not have bought because it's way too expensive for being very weird rancid like tasting.

Two ingredients: cream and salt. No added anything - and it is storable for 25 years? This is a prepper's dream come true! The only thing I wish they could include is some sort of a lid to fit over the opened container if you don’t want to transfer it to your own container right away. I solved that with a clever silicone, set on top, cover my sis gave me for keeping bugs from landing in your beverage while out on the deck. It’s not air tight but will be fine in the refrigerator. This is delicious butter that will be great for everyday use or to add the perfect touch to camp or storable food. The can is bigger than I expected (hence the photo with my hand for size comparison). Hot tip: mine was delivered on a 90+ degree day. Me, not paying attention to the obvious, did not hesitate to open one up and you can see the butter “ooze” when I did. Pro tip - let it cool in the refrigerator before you open it. I suspect it would be even better if you let it get completely cold and then open both the top and the bottom to push it through onto a plate for use. This is going to be a regular at my house. The case price is waay less expensive than the smaller units. Go big. You won’t be sorry.

We bought this to have on hand in case of power outages or for camping. We ended up opening our first can because we moved and forgot butter at the grocery. It is surprisingly good. It's definitely richer and less salty than regular butter. Even in 85 degrees temps it was a soft spread, not a melty mess. It gets very hard in the fridge. I wouldn't want to have to pay for this as my only source of butter because of the cost, but for the kind of situation where you need or want butter and don't have reliable fridge access, this is an amazing product.

Pros: nice flavor, shelf stable. Cons: fairly expensive, cans don’t stack which is a total pain for storing. Overall I prefer buying the full case for the price point as when I bought fewer they came dented.

Absolutely love this butter! I just don't understand why I'm getting something that says exp 7/26 when I'm buying it in 2/26???? I've been buying this for quite a while and have never had such a quick expiration date on at $230 purchase???? Really? Feeling a bit ripped off...
